In a shock move today, Real Madrid's English hero, David Beckham turned down a move to North East underdogs Newcastle United. A fee of £8 million was agreed for the former Manchester United man, but Beckham was reported to have said there was no way he could leave Real for Newcastle after what the Toon Army had done to Thailand and surrounding area.

Aid organisations have launched urgent appeals for donations to help victims of the Toonarmy disaster after more than 50,000 Newcastle fans were left devastated by their side’s inability to kick a ball.

Manager Graeme Souness has made a plea to use the money to tackle major disaster areas such as Titus Bramble and Andy O’Brien, whilst Kieron Dyer is desperately in need of some new clothes to fill his new two-acre walk in wardrobe.

A spokesperson for the appeal stressed that, “just £1 can buy a new dummy for Craig Bellamy, while £10 can buy Alan Shearer a new pair of slippers and matching blanket!”

I understand you are paying out newcastle and that its football related but i just find the idea of using the tsunami disaster - even for a spoof - absolutley disgusting.  I just cannot find that funny, you make me sick.
