i was on my way home from work and i read a artical from the mirror sport section it said that after the burnley game the liverpool fans were throwing missiles at the liverpool players and had to be held back by police as they attempted to attack the players, i just cannot believe how much the papers want us to fail and will write any old bullsh@t to put us down, i did not go to the match but spoke to my mate who goes to every away game and he told me that the fans were angry and did verbaly have a go at the players but nothing else.
I know i am probley as biased as the next fan but i really feel thre is a real attempted to put our club to the sword to prove this you only have to look over the last 12 months were the papers have done everything to get gerrard to leave for chelsea, also a few weeks ago we were only 4 points behind man u who according to the press were still very much in the title race but we were out of it, has anyone else noticed this or i am i going over the top ?.

The Daily Mirror is as good as toilet paper.

Just save yourself the bother and don't read tabloids. I get most of the LFC info I need from this site. I don't need a journalists twist on situations. Unless it's Chris Bascombe out of the Echo, and I read that online.

I only read that cr@p because i honestly think things are better and will get even better and i will personaly write to these idiots and remind them of what they wrote when we get the team that benni wants and all the dead wood has gone and we our really pushing for the title etc here's hoping.

Tabloid papers have it in for Liverpool. Its a fact. Its a known fact that journalists in London who grew up watching Liverpool, Everton, Notts Forest, Man UTD and Leeds dominating almost all of the late 1960s, 1970s and 1980s have it in for northern clubs in a major way, chief among them Liverpool. Man UTD are usually exempt from their wrath because 90% of English Man UTD fans are from London anyway.

They hate Liverpool as we routinely whipped the asses of Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs for most of their lives and now its payback for them in a major way.

The so-called expert analysists are also against us. They are either ex players who played against us in the 1980s who hated us then and now love seeing us struggle, or they are former Liverpool players (Lawernson) who get a buzz out of the fact that we are struggling as they seem to think that Liverpool are rubbish as the club doesn't have players of their ilk anymore.

We've had a Liverpool backlash for years, which will make it all the more sweeter when we get back to Championship winning ways. :alien:

i like the echo cos it has players like rush and gray giving their honest opinion
