Latest news is Owen has put in a request to come back to Anfield. It's gonna cost us but apparantly the money will come from the sale of Baros, sooner rather than later.

I know now that certain members on here will now jump all over me claiming it's bullsh!t, which it maybe, but I have a inside source who is usually reliable. I can not reveal him on here cos he works for the club, internally.

so IF this were to be true and IF it were to happen sooner rather than later - suggesting during this transfer window? - we end up with 2 CL cup tied strikers. so then we have the line led by pongo and mellor who, god bless 'em, are not really what we need at that level.

this is such a crazy idea.

I thought it was impossible for Owen to come back before the end of the season - tranfer rules?

Stupid claim. Benitez will not sell his best players. Owen back? Not a chance in hell. Owen is on his way down, Baros is on his way up. And also I agree with one of the posters in here. Benitez will never let the only available CL striker leave us.

i don't think you can possibly say owen is on his way down. from the sounds of it he's playing better now than he has for a while. check the guys goals scored to minutes played stats, and most of those as a sub.

but yes, baros is on the way up and i would love to keep him here to see him improve his game more and more

I don't know where some of these things come from
There is no way M O will return to Liverpool - certainly not in the forseeable future anyway
Plus - why would we want to get rid of Baros - when he just starting to perform for us like he does for the Czechs

Lets concentrate on the potential of Morientes & Baros - and hopefully not to far in the future - a fit a raring to go Cisse

If rafa wanted to get rid of Baros, he would have sell Baros before the start of the season. It just doesn't make sense. I will only take owen back if he sell for 4 Million plus Nunez.

Hey, Im sceptical too. I don't think it would be a good move either, this season. But, you never know. What is true though is Owen has defo contacted LFC and asked to return, don't know when though, perhaps they're talking about at the end of the season. I dunno, just thought I'd let you know, thats all.

I can't see why we'd let Baros go, and don't think Owen and Baros would combine as well as Moreintes (fingers crossed), Cisse looked like he had no idea who baros is.

owen is doing well in madrid but knows that he wont get a game unless hes one of the 'in crowd'
i could see him wanting to come back in the summer, and why not?
if we can afford to get him back and make some money on the deal then i cant see the harm. hed have a few bridges to build tho
