Garcia played one ball against the scum that he should try more often. Remember the one he played over the defence from about 25 yards out that Morientes got a head to in the first half? If he does that more with Morientes sniffing around in the box, there'll be a few extra goals scored for us. He certainly gets in the positions. I think he just gets a rush of blood to the head. With some of the real good chances he's missed this season, he could be on 10 goals already. Give him time, he'll come good. Nunez is improving too. The crossing is coming on quite well.

pity josemi isnt gonna come good

I think Garcia pretty much has all the skill needed for the EPL but the problem is he is not using it selectively. So, defenders pretty much expected what he will do. If he can be more selective, he should be ok. THings will even be better if he is put back to the right position (the man behind the striker).

With all the discussion regarding the game against United, I myself feel that things would be terribly different on this board had Dudek not made the mistake he made. Goals against the run of play obviously significantly change a game, especially when playing a team with the tactical nous and flexibility of United, and unfortunately the game was changed for the worse. Some positives thought that I thought came out of the game:

1. Morientes' debut - Polished display from someone who hasn't played a full game in over 5 months. Some of his touches were genius and fill me with great hope, and that we only saw maybe half of his talent with much more to come

2. The battering in the first 20 minutes was unlucky not to yield a goal as were the final 15 minutes. The football was attacking and sustained, something a lot of people on here were wishing for a year ago.

3. Riise - Fantastic game by him, the guy's got a great engine and never throws the towel in. Give him another 6 months and perhaps he could become the premier left back of the Premier League.

As disappointing as the loss was it was very circumstantial and God forbid, perhaps more credit should go to Ferguson and United for the executing their plans successfully. Had we scored in the first twenty, maybe Garcia wouldn't be being criticised so heavily because frankly, he was not the sole cause of our loss and in instances this season, he's been one of the main contributors to our success.

Utterly shattered at the Burnley defeat, but it gives us a chance to see how good Rafa is at reacting to shocks and provides a steep learning curve for our youngsters, vital for their development. On that note, I was also impressed by Traore throughout the United game, it just wasn't his moment in the Burnley game.
