just a note to those who are travelling to burnley it has just been announced on bbc merseyside that is expected to have severe weather hitting the area, although the pitch does seem ok at the moment this more of a travel warning hope it helps

If they dont play tomorrow and its put back again, we are going to have loads of fixtures one after an other soon.
Should rearrange the tie to be played at anfield then.

Burnley against Liverpool at Turf Moor was due to be the first game played in the third round of the FA Cup. However, because of the postponement of the game last Friday week due to an unfit pitch, it will be the last initial tie to be staged.

Although Liverpool are close to a place in the Carling Cup final, we have already seen this season how Rafael Benetiz intends to treat the domestic cups with weakened teams selected for the Carling games against Millwall, Boro and Spurs.

Early team news would suggest the same tactic will be employed for the FA Cup with Steven Gerrard rested, while Morientes and Mauricio Pellegrino were not signed in time to play. David Raven, Neil Mellor and Stephen Warnock could all start.

Burnley won’t be the easy pickings they were earlier in the season against Spurs in the Carling Cup when they were brushed aside 3-0. On that occasion Steve Cotterill was forced into playing virtually a reserve team.

The Championship side go into Tuesday’s game on the back of some rather decent form. A striking statistic has been the defence, which has kept clean sheets in seven of their last nine games, including the last three.

Based on this good form and the expected weakened Liverpool team, there is a chance of an upset. Furthermore, the weather has yet again not been kind to the pitch and with possible snow forecasted, conditions will certainly be in the underdogs favour.

A best price 13/2 on Liverpool to suffer a second consecutive loss looks worth a small investment.

Burnley's just a godforsaken hellhole of a town where it rains 364 days of the year (it snows on the other day) so it'll be no surprise if they have to call it off again
