French international Celastine Rothen will join Liverpool on loan for the rest of the season from PSG on Wednesday. L'equipe reports Rothen who has had a nightmare season since joing PSG from Monaco will link up with Nando Morientes again after the two were integral in Monaco making it to the champions league final last year. The french newspaper also links liverpool with a bid for Roma defender Phillipe Mexes who is understood to be unhappy at the Italian club after losing his place to greek international Dellas!

in the video clip that johnnymac found for our viewing pleasure its rothen putting in all the quality crosses that nando scores from unless i'm very much mistaken.

interesting rumour. but why has he had a nightmare season at PSG?

Do you mean Jerome Rothen? Never heard of Celestine.

Rothen is a very good player. Seem to remember the Scum were after him a couple of seasons back but failed to get him.

That's okay. He's a left winger, saw a bit of him last season. Good player. Might kick Harry up the backside now he's got competition when he's fit again.

Rothen is a great crosser of the ball and like someone said earlier he provided a lot of the crosses for Moro to score with his head

Don't know much about him but agree that competition is needed for HK, Aussies are laid back (bosnich too) and HK needs a kick to get him going, he is in the comfort zone.

Rothen was terrific last year and would suit the English game BUT...........
