Who really supports liverpool on here? - Fed up with critism after only 5 months

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Im sorry but the critism so far has been poor.  I dont think Garcia and Dudek will get any better with posts of support like that.

Ok, the forum is here for people to post there views, but let me tell you guys who question certain liverpool players...... I stood in the kop today and sang my heart out after Brown was sent off(20 minutes late by the way).  Every player played their heart out today from what i saw, unfortunatly Djimi and Garcia do not look up to premiership football.  In actual fact, as hard as Djimi tried, he was probably the worst player i have seen in years play for us.  BUT, he tried which is the main thing, he really did work his bolox off.

Wake up guys, we aint going to set the world alight.... but let me ask every person on this forum, well no, let me ask every person who has managed to watch us at Anfield this season......Have we or have we not been playing better footballl, and more entertaining football than we have done for several years?

To those that critizise players on here, dont bother coming on here when we win something please.  The main guys and girls on here aint interested in those that slag the pool boys and then jump on the band wagen.

I could care less if players play their hearts out, players like Traore don't have what it takes and never will.  The fact that theyplay their hearts out makes them less of a liability, but they are still a liability !!

Kop Kid

I can understand yer feelings but from what yer suggesting we should keep the band playing while the Titanic sinks.

The forum is a great place to let of steam, be critical if it deserves it and praise were required but understand yer frustration.

Ive calmed down since yesterday I was F-ing and Blinding which comes from getting beat by the scum, when we play anyone else, there is only 1 or 2 topics, since yesterday there is about 10 topics over the team and what this game means to fans.
I couldnt even string a decent convo yesterday I was gutted that much.
I didnt blame one particular player I critised Dudek I didnt say get shut, but he does go to pieces when ever we play the scum, this is a known fact.

Emotions where running high yesterday and maybe people will read what they said yesterday and will be regretting it now.
All this buisness over Garcia and Traore, Garcia has talent we can all see this but it has to be back to basics for him on the training field, because these fancy footwork tactics are not going to work in the prem.
Traore I thought he was one of our best players yesterday getting in good positions defending well I have no problem with djimi atall.

What also is p#ssing alot of fans off is the fact that the BS from across the park are above us, and we want CL football despreatly, we have class in our team, we have been really unfortunate with all the injuries our players have picked up so far this season, and this has been one of the major factor with the results.

The scum games gone now time to move on from all the ranting and raving, we got beat end of, we have to move on and win the next few games try and get in the top 4, have a good run in the Champions League, maybe win the Carling Cup and possibly get to the final of the F.A. cup then we wont be to dissheartened.

Over the next few weeks we will know how the team is going to fair on our away travels they seem to be a bit of a bogey, hopefully that will change and we become a success on the road aswell as at Anfield.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

All fair enough Lynds as usual. There were certainly some bad tempered people on here yesterday. Truth is, we didn't play well at all and were beaten by a good side which is currently playing well. I've done the Dudek criticism already, I think we need a new keeper but the scapegoating stops there for me.
Morientes looked class and Pelligrino, despite the baffling criticism of his signing that was on here all last week, looked like the Champions League defender that he is to me. In both cases, we are talking about guys who have hardly played recently and have never experienced football at that level of intensity. Pelligrino was clearly outpaced by Saha but his experience and know-how meant he never got exposed. I think he'll do well in the supporting role for us. Morientes is obviously a wonderful player.
We've only got one game to go in which you would say, "TBH I'd take a draw here" which is Arsenal away. Hopefully we can press on now and start to amass some points.
Sorry to the true-scousers, but i hope Everton win today because I firmly believe fourth will end up being a dogfight between us and Middlesborough. We'll come through.
It's not all doom and gloom though. Whisper it quietly, keep it to yourselves but when everyone is fit we have the makings of a decent squad. Walk on.

its good to see the more rational analysis comingn out today. the forum last night was a seething mass of anger and frustration (understandably) and i'd guess a lot of people said things without thinking too hard about them. but at least they posted i suppose, i did a couple then stopped because i knew i would just spout distorted sh!te.

god it hurts to lose at home to the mancs and because of rooney. and because if we'd carried on in the vein of the first 20 minutes we would have hammered them.

garcia - again - is looking like the main scapegoat which in my book is completely unjustified. he was one of our more commited attacking players all game, though his final decision making like so often was poor. stevie g seemed totally distracted by the comparisons he gets to keane that he forgot to play the game and prove he is better. he as much as anyone needs reminding of the team nature of the game.

so as true supporters we shouldn't be looking for scapegoats OR blindly supporting consistently poor players. yesterday we had neither just a painful defeat and a frustrating capitulation. and how quickly the resounding backing of the team on this forum before the game gave way to a torrent of criticsism afterwards.

our squad is a great squad and changes are happening.

its true that garcia did run his balls off and when i was watching match of the day it seemed like a lot of the oppurtunities we had started with him getting the ball. Yes he wasted a lot of them but he did at least create some.

Its a body blow losing to Utd but I was not over concerned. We are a good side and have the makings of a very good team. There is still work to be done on the team but anyone boastng a forwardline of Baros and Morientes, a midfield of Gerrard and Alonso cannot be that bad. When we get all the guys back from injury we will have a hell of a team, and no doubt with a few new additions to come in. We must also take into account the fact that the side needs to gel and work an understanding together. So many new faces have arrived and indeed just stepped off the plane. Once we click you will see the same kinda flowing footy Utd played yesterday. A group that has been together for a decade or more. We are not quite there yet but I have no doubt we have a bright future ahead of us.

I am quite fortunate to only be able to post when in the office (at work) - and because of this, I've had a few days to reflect.  True - I was absoulutely livid on Saturday - and it pretty much ruined the rest of the day for me - but on reflection - that merely endorses my passion for the club.
We did not play particularly well - but saying that it really should have been a draw - but would we have deserved it
Morientes showed flashes of brilliance - but I think it will take a few games before he starts banging them in on a regular basis.
The new lad in central defence looked very assured - although he did have a tendency to hoof everything.
But let's be honest - that's two players who only joined the club a matter of a few days before kick off.  So all in all - I was pleased with their debut's.
Poor old Jerzy - any other game and he probably wouldn't have come in for half as much stick - but three times in three seasons against the scum
Alas - I fear another nail has just been banged into his coffin.  And yet - I thought he made one or 2 decent saves - the fact that we couldn't stick the ball in the net at the other end means - although the spotlight will fall on Jerzy - it's the team, as a whole who should carry the can.

Let's not forget as well, we lost to a Scum side that has been steadily grinding out results over the last month or so & ultimately beat us at our own game in midfield.  As soon as the cheating Manc was sent off - half an hour too late in my opinion - that was always gonna be game over - cause they just put everyone back behind the ball.  They never attempted an attack in the last 20 mins.

Overall - I was gutted - but as other people have said - we now have (on paper) a decent run of games were we can seriously start getting some points together.  What we need now - is to support them more than ever and see if we can get that winning mentality going again.

Well said...

We are all supporters of this great club.  We are on the road to becoming a great club again, with world class players dotted all over our team.

I don't think any of us expected to win the premiership this year as this is the year the rot stopped and Raffa started his rebuild.

I can't wait for next season already as I think we will be closer to the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and UTD by the end of this season.

This year is about improvement and we have done that
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

liverpool have made the most progress in terms of the four big clubs in the league, utd and arsenal seem to be slipping a bit whilst chelsea have bought the title as far as i am concerned.
