self moderation is the key here and to be fair the 50+ posts a day brigade are usually found in general chat and not, thankfully,in the football areas of the forum.

Well here's the source i can find.....i think it is rubbish personally. Baros already plays with his head down (while scoring loads of goals) and gets a lot of stick from certain members. If huck comes aboard......  :p

Rumours in Liverpool suggest that Rafa Benitez could well be set to add his first English player to the Liverpool squad this month. It appears that the gaffer is very charmed by the qualities of Norwich striker/winger Darren Huckerby.

Huckerby played for Leeds not too long ago but never managed to cut the mustard at a high profile team in the Premiership. Admirers argue, however, that he has grown and matured since and that he could be a useful addition to the Liverpool squad.

Liverpool have alledgedly already spoken to the player last night to see how he feels about a move. That would mean that his club, Norwich, have already been contacted as well or the Reds could face FA charges, if this rumour proves to be true.

Huckerby could add some pace and width to the Reds midfield but he could also play around a more static forward like Neil Mellor. It seems that Benitez wants to add some versatility to his squad to have different options and game plans on matchday. Something Gerard Houllier was accused of lacking throughout his five year stint at Anfield.

Player Profile Darren Huckerby

Please God NO.

Huckerby is an arrogant excuse for a Premiership winger. His place is in the 1st Division, (Championship) and that is where he should stay.

He will always bare fond memories due to his goal against the Mancs (Huckerby, Huckerby, still Darren Huckerby...), and I remember an FA Cup third or fourth round game which he won by himself against us one year.

But for me, he will not improve on what we already have, which is surely the main aim of a transfer into the club.

according to teamtalk.com, Huckerby claims he will fullfill his two-year contract with Norwich, and even hopes to stay there longer. Betting on news from teamtalk isn`t exactly "money in the bank" but I hope that they are correct this time...

Huckerby was a very good prospect a few seasons ago - but I honestly thinks he's peaked now - he's lost a yard or two of pace
and to be honest - I thought he was like a petulant child when he played against us the other week.
He started off quite bright - but as soon as we got the measure of him he lost his composure
Think he had a 5 min period were he went round trying to hoof people in the air - then was trying to get the ref to book players - Don't Like That

Not Good Enough IMO

to me he's one of those players who is too good for the championship but not good enough for the premiership.

he's quoted on teamtalk.com

Darren Huckerby has re-assured Norwich fans he is "not going anywhere" following reports linking him with a move away from Carrow Road.

The 28-year-old was instrumental in helping the Canaries win promotion to the Barclays Premiership since joining on a permanent deal last Christmas after a successful loan spell, and is currently the club's leading scorer with six goals.

However, with Norwich set to sign £2.5million Crewe striker Dean Ashton, there had been suggestions the former Manchester City and Leeds forward was set to leave, Liverpool one of the clubs said to be after his services.

But Huckerby declared: "I'm not going anywhere. I'm here for my two years and hopefully longer - so there's nothing in it."

So let's put this one to bed once & for all

He's not coming

No chance, Huckerby is a good player but too inconsistant, a poor finisher and a bit of a t****** as well from what i have heard.
