Liverpool enter race for striker

If he cost 8 to 10Million squids, I prefer to have Anelka instead. To me, Yakubu is similar to Heskey but only shorter. I want pure talent and Anelka fits the bill.

Kop Talk is not a very reliable source, Yakubu for 8 million - you are having a laugh.

That's way too much for Yakubu.

That's true.  :p

During this time of year, everything is blowing out of proportion. We will be linked to every possible striker available on the planet.  :D

I think Yakubu is a great talent, but he exceeds the 8 million bill over his head. I would get him for a price range of 2-4 million.

I think he's quite a hit man. With the service that we are doing to our strikers these days, he can be very beneficial. However, the price should no more than 5M.

What ! Yakubu will be the next heskey ? Liverpool can buy him but not 8m , the highest is 4m. From what I see is the a lot of clubs know that Liverpool need striker and that's why if they know Liverpool wanted to buy one of their striker , they will markup the price. F**K them if they are doing is to Liverpool.

It's seems that Liverpool ready need one or two striker. These are the players that good and cheap . By looking at the club that they are playing , they are all bottom 5 in EPL .Get them before anyone else sign them .
Andrew Johnson from Crystal Palace
Jonathan Stead and Paul Dickov from Blackburn Rovers
Luis Boa Morte from Fulham
Craig Bellamy from Newcastle United.

To Liverpool Madman: Do you really think the players you had mentioned is better than what we have now....I think we need top quality strikers. I think in Mellor and Pongolle, they are at least on par with the players you had mentioned.

Now they are same par but I belived RB can make them a better player but this only a short solution for Liverpool til end of the season . Bottom Line to these players just to cover us with some of our key players that injure.

don't really want the likes of Johnson, Dickov or Boa Morte at Liverpool
Bellamy has had flashes of Brilliance & can be a match winner - but has a bad attitude - and seems to wind up every player he plays against - so he's out the frame
I was interested today when reading an article / interview Rafa had given
He basically said - nobody has a clue who they are interested in as possibilities if we don't get Morientes because to let it become known to the press would mean a bidding war - and he wasn't prepared to go down that line for LFC
he was almost hinting at people suggesting we should panic buy - and he's not prepared to do it
Good on you Rafa

I`m not really sure that Andy Johnson will be cheap. If Crystal Palace lets him go, they take a big move towards relegation, and I`m pretty sure that they have a desire to be compensated for taking that risk. I would be surprised if they lt him go for less than £8M. As I see it, buying players from another Premiership club equals buying overprized players. The other players you mention simply aren`t good enough, when considering Liverpool FC`s ambitions, imo.
