I know some members in here like the chinese martial arts movies like "Crouching Tiger" and "Hero". A mate of mine has recently sent me a DVD called "House of Flying Daggers" and I notice the movie opens in the UK next week .
If you're planning to see any movies over xmas check it out , It's Brilliant .
Possibly my favourite movie this year . Whats yours ?
:)

The special effects look brilliant, what is the film about anyway?

Briefly...... Government agents try to infiltrate a "rebel" society called "The House of Flying Daggers" the two main characters go on the run pursued by government forces.
Simple story but as usual in these type of films , the fight sequences and the overall cinematography are fantastic . I found myself constantly saying "Fu ck Me ! Look at that !!! :p  :D  :D  :D "

woof woof and misty red - i'll mix a bit of each of your posts
I'd say "****** me look at her" to ZZY :p

I havent seen it yet, but it looks alright - but I thought cthd and hero were quite a let down. I'm sure the scenery is fantastic but the action scenes - well if you wanna watch a good Jet Li movie watch "Fist of Legend" and Chow Yun Fat doesnt do martial arts...and its visible in the movie.

I'm very picky on my kung fu films :D

bit of zu warriors and the magic mountain? sweet
i like my korean action. 2009 lost memories, old boy and shiri. but most far east films are just a lot better than the usa counterparts lately

i saw an mazing martial arts movie a while ago at a mates house. i think it was called revenge (?), there's a scene with the best kung fu move ever - the guy tunnels underneath his enemy with his bare hands and comes up behind him and tw@ts him. pure style! :D

any of the experts here know about this movie?

i don't remember that happening...

the story seemed to cover many many years, maybe hundreds. these two guys kept coming up against each other as an eternal enemies kinda thing. to be honest it was pretty confusing...
