Nice one Stevie lad nothin like a bit of scouse sarcasm :;):

Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard has announced that he is signing for bitter rivals Manchester United once the transfer window re-opens.

But don't worry. The public admission was made by the England international while on a shopping trip in Manchester and not on Sky Sports or the BBC.

Asked by a couple of cocky kids when he'd be signing for Fergie, Gerrard replied: "Next week and I can't wait."

The incident was picked up by one of today's national newspapers so be warned if the Gerrard to Old Trafford rumours suddenly appear. Fortunately the newspaper in question made sure that Gerrard's words were reported in the manner that they should be, in that they weren't to be taken seriously!

Saw Gerrard's high five with Maurinho when a simple hand shake will do. It's like..."see we have more money and luck too." No I am not being paranoid

If Gerrard leaves for Chelsea I will never forgive him. He has ambitions but so does every player. He's a great footballer but he shouldn't go to Chelsea.

No one player is bigger than the club if he wants to go let him ,the money we get for him will certainly give us more options to add Depth in the squad .

in my eyes steven gerrard is a legend, and i`ve watched most of them.
but he wants to win things.
well in my eyes he won two of the biggest prizes in the lottery of life when he was firstly gifted with his ability and then secondly used it to pull on that red jersey.
i`d understand if he played for bournemouth or something, but if a born and bred scouser leaves his hometown club for one of its main rivals well in my eyes abramovitch has bought the one thing left in the game i thought was unbuyable..................pride in who you are and where you are from.
its what the game is built on.

Gerrard can leave for chelsea for 40 million pounds..... Hey no player in irreplaceable. You think chelsea is gonna win everything if gerrard goes over ?

Football is a tactical game. The best team wins not the team with best players. I rather be a valencia than a real madrid if you catch my drift.

Give Rafa a £60M war chest and you won't see Gerrard leaving for a lesser team (incl. Chelsea). We need to seroiusly back up the club's ambition with some serious money.
However, if Gerrard does go, he will be replaced, not individually but by a more balanced team. In Rafa we trust...

He's so attached with the club. But love can change to hate. I don't know. I don't like seeing him leaving. I think he gives a lot of hope for the young Liverpool lovers out there. He's their idol. But, no player can be above the club, totally agreed.
