andy_g wrote:i can understand all you old timers on the list getting frustrated about the quality of general LFC discussion going downhill. its fair enough - you all came here for inspiring and interesting talk about liverpool. like i did. i've been signed up since may but only started posting frequently in the last 3 months or so.
what i've seen on general discussion has been lots of good and lively debate, interspersed by some petty squabbles and silliness. some people are more eloquent and/or informed than others, naturally. some people are more patient than others with those who are less informed, naturally. this is a community made of many different people and as we all have the common love of LFC it should be welcoming. the treatment i sometimes see from elite members of newbies when they post something less than profound is disgusting at times. you people should be setting an example by replying with good posts or entering into productive discussion, if you don't want to do that, don't post.
if you more elite members are unhappy about the way the LFC based discussion is going don't hide here in general chat moaning about it. get back on your forum and make it good with the quality of your contributions.
