Had a sound debeut today, pulled off a fantastic reflex save seemed tactically sound and didn't let anyone down.

Good short term backup as we already have two of the leagues best keepers.

Jones had a good debut but Villa did not actually test him very much either. Lets hope that this cover will be an adequate one, if not a great one. Good result against Villa but very poor play by Biscan, he made a meal of easy clearences once too many time and I wonder why Houllier keeps playing him.

Criticism of Biscan today is a bit harsh,he did a lot tidy work that goes un-noticed.Riise was a little wanting at times and Kewel was quiet for long periods. But 3 points are in the bag, next stop Spurs.

Supersub did you go to the game?

He's not good enough lad.

He made far to many mistakes. I feel so sorry for Sami at the moment having to play between Riise and Biscan. Sooner Carra, Finnan and Henchoz are back in the defence with Sami the better.

Biscan is will cost us in the box very soon. He is generally sound but has too many sloppy moments.

Jonesy did what he had to do. Cant ask for any more than that.

yes I went to the game but unlike you I save criticism for things that should be criticised and I praise players who do well, irrespective of who they are.You obviously choose to slag off the same players week-in,week-out but then you do wear blinkers, stu.

thats just what some fans are like, and me, being an everton fan have to suffer poor performances from my team a lot more often than a liverpool fan.

but you just have to keep belief in your team. and look at the positive signs rather than the negative.

I'm not saying he is but there are times when he may play well, yet daft blinkered morons will still blame the likes of him for a defeat/draw whatever, and the so called crowd favourites walk away without a blemish even if they had a total stinker.Believe me over the last 2 seasons some of the big boys have let the team, the manager, the fans and themselves down but it's always the same players who get the blame i.e.Biscan,Smicer,Diao,Cheyrou,Diouf,Heskey,Traore.....
Quick example:Hyypia's poor form was blamed, and still is,on Biscan, yet Sami's cr#p form stretches well back into last season when Igor wasn't playing.

Me slag players off?

Get over yourself.

I back the team and the players to hilt and i will defend any of them that deserve defending and certainly won't blindly think some players are above critisism. That petty comment, i take it you are reffering to the comment i made on Hamann... welll he's my favourate player and in my opinion one of our most improtant, yet when a player makes mistakes

Biscan is an average premiership player at best and is no centre half. He's not good enough. As for Hyypia being cr#p, what are you watching? Coz its not Liverpool.

As for players playing well, form means very little. Class and ability win you more games over the course of a season. Thats why when Michael Owen is having a stinker of a game he's still a massive goal threat. Also how Yeovil were "amazing", Liverpool were "sh##e" and still won.

Firstly I wasn't talking to you,stu_the_red, directly but to the others who had a go at Biscan.Your comments about Hamann were not a slag off as such but I still disagreed with them. But don't get paranoid to think all my posts will be aimed at you, because they won't be.If you think Hyypia was on top form for the last year you drink too much.Yes he is recapturing his form of 2 years ago but once again you don't read the words, you jump in with your big mouth blazing. Is it any wonder why you were barred from the last forum you were on.Oh!..sorry was it their fault not you, they just didn't understand.

I don't read the posts?

Erm... hello... i openly addmitted it was my fault... want me to drag the old thread up for proof?

Secondly i Hyypia's form last season wasn't bad at all. He had a few off games but he was still a damn site better than Riise and Traore.

His form suffered because he is playing with less quality and still is. When Carragher and Henchoz are back either side of him we'll see him back to his very best.
