I think he would even be good playing just behind Owen and Heskey, i think when Cisse come's it would be intresting seeing him play in this role.

Being a Mick I like Robbie Keane, but I see him a lot at irish internationals in Dublin and he's very up and down. On his day he can be very good, but sometimes he can be a silly Tallaght ***** who needs a good kick up the ol' jacksie (sorry to any Tallaght boys out there!).

Firstly, crackin win on Wednesday thought Heskey did really well. Need another striker though & Cisse certainly fits the bill, probably cost more than £10 mill though.

Good posts on this one, specially yours JBG.
It's interesting to note that many of the players under threat seemed to put in great performance the other night at Chelsea - Cheryou, Heskey, Traore, Biscan etc. I would like to see the whole squad play with that commitment until the end of the season and give the fans something to get excited about - it's long overdue and we know they are capable of beating all of the teams in the premership when they apply themselves.
With regard to replacements, I haven't seen enough of Cisse to make a judgement, but he 'seems' OK if the price is not ridiculous. I like Dawson for cover at the back but he has been injured a lot this season. The boy is young and looks an excellent prospect. We need strength in midfield to help out Stevie, and it may be worth loking at Jason Koumas, good midfielder who can score goals(and won't cost the earth).
Malbranque is a good player but his team seem intent on keeping everyone at the moment. Parker would be a great Liverpool player but Chelsea would be favourites to sign him.
It will be interesting to see how the players move on from the result at Chelsea and how many fight to stay with the club.

Koumas would be a good buy for LFC, although if WBA come up then his price will double. I realise Alan Smith is "volatile" to say the least but he is quality and if Leeds go down (Who will shed a tear if that happens ! LOL) then he will leave. Selling Smicer,Diou and Diouff even at a reduced value will lighten the wage bill. My other choice woould be Larrson who despite playing in a weak league still demonstrates class in Europe and for Sweden. Lastly we need a centre back and the young lad at forest seems to fir the bill.

dont really know about koumas?Hes doing it in the first division but as we've all seen it can be a big step up to the premiership,i think scott parker would be a better buy though.

The fella at madrid Guti isint getting alot of football and might be intrested in a move,Cisse or Kezman?I'd have 2 say Cisse hes younger and looks more promising.

Ok u have 1 choice between these players, reply with answers

Defenders:Mexes Gallas Dawson
Midfield:Malbranqe Parker Koumas Guti
Striker:Cisse Kezman Viduka Smith

It has to be Steve Malbranque.... we gotta get him before Maon Utd do. He's pure class and would be brill playing beside Stevie G.

i think supermarius is thinking along the right lines suggesting Scott Parker. The right midfield does need improving and he's a young english player who gives his all and has proved himself at premiership level. He would give good attacking options without leaving us vulnerable defensively (something which many of Houlliers attacking midfielders do). One thing that we have lacked for a long time is quality crosses into the box and whoever Houllier signs this should be a priority.
In terms of central defenders i wander if Carragher should be given another chance there.
