winning comes first, i think it will be difficult to beat even watford with our youngsters, if we are honest this is watfords only chance of european football and the extra revenue it brings. we need to fiels full strengh in the semis let alone the final.

i said in another post, give the youngsters a nice cash bonus to thank them to keep their moral up

Semi's will be the kids almost undoubtedly.
I hope they can play in the final aswell, a little bit of pressure will see what they are really made of.

For the record, last season, the prize money for the Carling Cup was:

Carling Cup:

Winners
£100,000

Runners up
£50,000

Losing Semi-Finalists
£25,000

Interestingly, for the FA Cup, it was:

Third Round Proper winners (32)
£50,000

Fourth Round Proper winners (16)
£75,000

Fifth Round Proper winners (8)
£150,000

Sixth Round Proper winners (4)
£400,000

Runners-Up (1)
£1,000,000

Winners (1)
£2,000,000

I absolutely think that we'll see a full-strength side should we go to Cardiff - Benitez will want some silverware in the locker from his first season, and let's face it, it's better than nothing.

Rafa fielded the youngsters particularly due to avoid main players from possible injuries and other unexpected outcomes, yet the prospective money if winning the trophy is proportionate with the added sacrifice in mobilizing the full strength side.

it would be great if we get to the final to play the players who worked so hard to get us their. but we all know if we make the final it as got to be a full strength team that plays.history won't say we played the kids if we take a hiding off the manc's.none of us would be able to live a normal life again if we have to take sh*t from the scum for years to come.

If we get to the final it should be near about the same squad that faced spurs and played well minus (diao) the youngster got us this far so so wat if we get beat its a learning curve for them. It would be unlucky if they beat watford home and away and rafa goes stop dreaming about cardiff cus the only time any of you will be goin there is on holiday. The league is more important and we need to be picking up valuable points in febuary,so say if robbie foy scored a hatrick and rafa goes sorry kid you won't be playing in the final.I still remeber the last time we played them in the league cup,Watching them go up to collect their losers medals then Keane throw it to the ground was one of the most heart warming moments of my life :) :)
