LIVERPOOL striker Djibril Cisse was surrounded by police yesterday after he and a friend sparked an armed robbery scare by wearing Halloween masks for "a laugh".

A passer-by thought the £14million Frenchman, 23, and his friend - both wearing Scream-style hoods - were planning a raid as they sat in a 4x4 near a supermarket in Liverpool.

The woman said: "I saw two men in this car wearing masks. It scared me - I thought they were about to commit a robbery."

She raised the alarm and within minutes the car was surrounded by police.

Officers told the men to take off their masks and quizzed them briefly, before letting them go.

Merseyside police said: "They said they were having a laugh. No offences have been committed."

The witness said: "It seems a strange way to have fun. Maybe that's what rich footballers do when they've got too much time on their hands."

Liverpool FC refused to comment.

Armed police swoop on Liverpool ace

Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse was surrounded by armed police officers yesterday after they believed he and a friend were planning a robbery in the city.

A member of the public spotted two men wearing Halloween masks sat in a 4x4 near a supermarket. The police were informed and within the minutes the area was sealed off and the two men were ordered out of the vehicle by armed officers.

The two masked men - one of whom was Djibril Cisse - said they were only wearing the masks for a laugh. The police cautioned them about their future behaviour and allowed them to carry on with their business but without the masks.

A Merseyside police spokesman said: "They said they were having a laugh. No offences have been committed."

The lady who contacted the police said: "I saw two men in this car wearing masks. It scared me. I thought they were about to commit a robbery.

HAHAHAHA The funny fuc*er, most people complain about how depressed they are when there injured, but cisse seems to be having a whale of a time.....keep the chin up mate!!!!

Neville Bartos : Nah, forget about it.
Chopper : Because I don't know if you remember, Neville, but I had that bloody shotgun pointed at your head. I reconsidered and dropped it down to your kneecap. Remember?

HAHAHAHA The funny fuc*er, most people complain about how depressed they are when there injured, but cisse seems to be having a whale of a time.....keep the chin up mate!!!!

On second thoughts, :angry: . I hope Cisse is taking it easy and trying to heal and not prancing around like a t1t. Bloody Mark Kennedy and Phil Babb were enough!
