Liverpool have enquired about the availability of Frederic Kanoute of Tottenham and Maxi Lopez of River Plate.

Don't forget that you heard it here first.

On the basis that GH fancied Kanoute the phrase about barge poles comes to mind.

Who on earth is Maxi Lopez?
I know River Plate have a tradition of making good attacking players but I've no idea who he is. Young?

Found out a bit more about Lopez.
He is 20 years old, came through the River Plate youth system. He is their number 9 and has had a lot of apps this season.
Looks promising...

Angel Looked promising before Villa plucked him from South America - he was and is rubbish.

South americans have a history of finding it tough here - and at 20 i dont think this guy will take to England.

Working on your theory, I play for a Sunday League team, and out striker is John Jones, he played for The Blue Anchor under 11's, under 13's, under 15's, under 18's and he is now in the pub team, so he came thru the youth system, he plays in the number nine shirt and low and behold he is 20 years of age and he has only missed one game this season thru suspension, so he has made loads of appearences.

I think we have our man people.

Yeh but do we swoop in January, or wait 'till after the golf trip in early April and take him on a Bosman?

If hes not injury prone Leon take him down to Melwood as soon as.....and throw a word in for me, im a 23 year old left back without a club at the moment, but i have spent the last 3 seasons gettin skinned in the Business Houses league, and as im without a club there would be no transfer fee and wages would be minimal!!!
Chopper:Look, you're not still angry at me about the leg, are you?
Neville Bartos : Nah, forget about it.
Chopper : Because I don't know if you remember, Neville, but I had that bloody shotgun pointed at your head. I reconsidered and dropped it down to your kneecap. Remember?

One flaw in your oh so hilarious display of wit I'm afraid.
River Plate is not a Sunday league team, it is known for producing some of the finest players there are with it's academy.

Sorry, I think I have misunderstood your post, did you say Angel is rubbish.

If this is what you meant, what are you basing this view on?
