I think there's probably enough money to spend 10million in transfers in January, and probably 10 to 20million available in the summer.

Failure to qaulify for the Champions League next year will put a serious dent in our finances, and under the current regime, serious funds will only be generated by either the sale of a few players (possible), Moores dipping into his own pocket once again (growing unlikely) or heavy borrowing (very likely).

I think that if the team goes into a slide Moores and Parry will do something dramatic, and 2005 will probably see a change in ownership or at least Moores selling a large chunk of the club to another party.

Personally I hope we avoid selling Gerrard, or borrowing heavily or a lengthy power struggle with a Steve Morgan figure, as all three will only serve to hurt the club.

a lengthy power struggle would be bad for the club , i can see Moores selling most of is shares if not all, in todays footbal market i dont think we will get a top striker 10m so once again we will be looking for cast off's , there has been a lot of talk of Anelka coming back to us , this would only be a short term fix and not sure he would not fit in with the rest of the team.
over the last few years we have let  some good players slip past when we should have snaped them up , look at alan smith , i know there was a lot of probs with him at the and we let go , but he is now a top player. there has been talk of us taking Wigans Nathan Ellington for 2m , i dont know what to say about that as i dont know much about him.

Only 10 million? Looks like both us and Everton are going to be spending the same amount come January.

I can't believe Houllier turned down Anelka for a 10M Diouf, all this ****** still haunts me.
