I am not convinced that we have sorted out this zonal marking game yet. Both goals yesterday had elements of static defensive play in them, particularly the first one.
Because of the International calls, the defensive players are not getting enough time with the coaches to iron out their responsibilities and play as a unit. Did you see Rafa, when the first goal wen't in, he was standing up gesticulating towards the players but looking at and talking to the bench staff. Not sure who he was blaming but the language looked like 'choice spanish' !!

I agree that Cannavaro's ****** isn't he because 5'9 inch centre halfs aren't any good.

Probably one of the best two centre halfs along with Nesta in world football over the last 5 or 6 years.

For the last 10 mins, i was trying to come-up with an impressive defence. I can't. All i can say is that Fabio Cannavaro is a freak.

That does not mean our CBs should be midgets.... I mean there must be a reason why most of the centrebacks in the world are goliath and the fullbacks ..david :cool:

I know what you meant, you just worded it wrong. Ayala's only about 5'10-5'11 aswell. The thing about these two is they can both win headers and are both VERY aggressive and strong.

I'm suprised your missus hasn't told you size is everything...

Anyone read the report of Dario Zahora of Dinamo Zagreb getting his ****** kicked by the clubs supporters. He was dragged out of his car and given a beating since his performances has been very bad and the club is struggling. A while back Palmeiras supporters put a chicken on the pitch as a symbol of the players lack of effort. Maybe we can arrange for 100 pigeons to poo on Kewell in the next game?
