Houllier lingers in the memory - Shades of shankly.................

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

In fairness, I read the thread on payouts for contract severence and didn't get too involved in the ritual slagging of all concerned. If I got paid off from my job I'd want every penny owed to me and I'd be surprised if anyone on this board is different. The fact the sums are so staggeringly huge is a symptom and problem with modern football and not the fault of Houllier.
That said I've made no secret of the fact that I thought he was a poor manager of our club, an opinion which is probably borne out by his still being out of a job. As for the training ground visits and mobile calls I wouldn't be overly concerned. I'm sure if rafa sees it as a problem he'll tell him to bog off in no uncertain terms. Got a bit of a feeling that old rafa is not a man to be messed about on the quiet.

You don't hurt the one you love. Why have Houllier hurt us so bad than? Now we have to wait three years to earn back Houllier's golden parachute. Give us back our money frog. Don't come around here no more. You're not wanted.
If football is banned in heaven. I'd rather go to hell.

I must admit - I got mixed views
we are suffering badly now - because of his management style
but if what Leons source said is true - then it's really sad
after all - he didn't just bleed - he nearly popped his Cloggs for us
and still came back
Time to let go GH

Sad story.  Have the press got hold of this?  They'll thrash him with it.

Muppet or kinda, im confused.
The man who came to merseyside from Newcastle, the man who says he's part of Liverpool as much as the Liver building. When he was needed Alan Kennedy was there. And with now just 8 minutes to go it could be that Alan Kennedy has made a little history.

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

I feel sorry for the guy, he does love the club but needs to accept the fact he is no longer involved :(
