Liecester vs Liverpool

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby redshade » Sun Apr 20, 2025 2:26 pm

Leicester's Wout Faes and Jeremy Monga have returned to training after minor injuries and are in contention to play.

Facundo Buonanotte is also available after being ineligible against his parent club Brighton last weekend.

Liverpool's Trent Alexander Arnold, who hasn't played since 11 March due to an ankle injury, is back in training and could feature, although he will not start.

Darwin Nunez is also back in training after illness but Joe Gomez remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Must win today in order to hopefully seal it at Anfield in front of our fans against Spurs. Then have Chelsea and Arsenal giving us guards of honor lol. Would be great to see Endo be given a guard of honor by Caicedo and Lavia

Hardly seen much of Dias, prefer him on the left over Gakpo who's done bugger all   :glare:

Apart from Mo's effort we havent really troubled them, Thomas has blocked a couple of efforts i suppose but you expect more from champions elect against relegation fodder.

Would like to see Jota in place of Gakpo and Elliot in place of Szobozlai in the second half.

Honestly we've been a bit unlucky this game, good goal by Trent.

We desperately need a No 9 next season. A proper 9 who can put these types of games to bed.

FT: Leicester City 0-1 Liverpool

So, we are 3 points away from No.20  :buttrock

:D   :D  :D

I'm obviously happy with the win BUT I found the lack of intensity alarming  :wwww  . For much of the game it looked like we were happy to just stroll our way towards the title  :(
Not wanting to take anything away from Slott or the team but it's not the style of football that has me off my seat.

Yup share same sentiments, Slot has done extremely well for his first season but next one we definitely will need to tweak things up if we want to maintain success.

I really hope we buy another forward.
