Fulham v LIVERPOOL Sunday 6th April 2025 2.00pm

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Liverpool are getting extremely close to winning the title after a phenomenal first season of Slot’s tenure. Fulham will do the absolute maximum to ensure that we don’t have an easy ride. Good to see Jones at right back. He did a brilliant job against Everton. Also pleased that Gakpo is starting. Lucho hasn’t been at his best for a while.
I’d like to see Chiesa given some minutes.

Kamikaze defending from us here, should really be worse as well, Fulham should have had a pen, Kelleher clearly took the lad out, whats the point of VAR if it can't even pick up bltatant infringements.
You can carry a player like Mo when he's chipping in with goals and assists but when they dry up he contributes very little else, his work-rate is so poor you're basically playing a man down. Arne needs to man up and get him off, we are 2 down here we can't afford to carry any passengers.

That's it for our unbeaten league away record...I'm done here. Enough drivel for the day

Salah is so off form that it's worrying. Can't get involved, confidence looks shot to pieces, and now he's snatching at sitters.

We look done. Thank god we’ve got such a huge lead in the league.

Thankful it's over soon. 10 more games and we'd had lost it.

11 points clear on equal games with only 7 games left....not even we are going to blow that, the inescapable facts are though that's our 3rd loss in our last 4 games and when you look at the game in Paris that stat could and probably should read 4 in 5.
The lads that came on give it a go and very nearly salvaged something for us which leaves you wondering whether the manager got his team selection right but that's probably a bit unfair, hindsight is always 20/20.
We are pretty much running on fumes right now though and need 2 things to happen, we need the finish line to come into sight and we need the owners to put their hands in their pockets this summer.

Slot really needs to look at the players massively off form and rotate abit. Some of the lads out there are running on empty.

Szoboszlai, Salah, Robbo are 3 that's struggling to have any positive impact as of late.. give Chiesa, Tsmikas, and Elliott a run of games until them 3 are fully back up to scratch.

2nd half was much better, thought Bradley looked good when he came one.

I hope we finish the season strong because looks like some players are already on the beach.

Well Slot denies it had anything to do with tiredness, so I don't expect him to start rotating any time soon. Thing is there are different types of fatigue, it's not just physical but mental too, and some of our players are definitely tired, one way or another.

I'd add Virgil to the running on empty list too, it's very difficult to play well week in week out for 9 straight months, not even Suarez could do it that season we went close under Rodgers, his form notably dropped off near the end, there's no winter break in this country of course and players like Mo and Virgil who are nailed on starters and are very rarely injured shoulder a particularly heavy load.
After being an absolute rock all season it was Virgil's air-shot midweek that allowed Beto through on goal and he was shoved off the ball far too easily for one of their goals yesterday as well. We shouldn't be surprised though he's got to be feeling it, because he looks about 27 it's easy to forget that he turns 34 in a few weeks. Even as a CB at 34 you are starting to get on a bit.
He's deffo worth a new contract because i can see him being an effective defender for at least another couple of years but you do wonder whether he's got another 'coast-to-coast' season in him where he basically picks the team up and carries it on his shoulders from starting gun to finishing line like he has this campaign.
