Extending 1 more year, thought he'd had enough of winning everything. Let's see if he could do it under a poor budget.

I truly expected Manchester City to find things considerably more difficult when it was announced that Rodri would be out for the season due to injury. De Bruyne seems to be considerably more injury prone and obviously that is another problem that they have to manage. The 115 charges that they are currently having to defend in my opinion is causing them serious on pitch problems. Last night at home against Feyenoord clearly demonstrated that their heads are in the wrong place. When was the last time that Shitee115 threw away a three nil lead to supposedly inferior opposition at the Etihad? I just wonder what rumours are coming out of the 115 hearing because something is definitely affecting them and I don’t think it is just Rodri and De Bruyne. I just hope their current demise continues and we give them a damn good thrashing on Sunday !!

Yeah I agree, they probably already know the outcome (to some extent at least) and can't be motivated to play. Considering Pep signed a new deal though, the punishment will likely be a slap on the wrist, 10 point deduction or something like that. Then they just carry on like before.

Wonder when the outcome will be, I'd rather it in the summer then now. Winning the league with them still "officially" competing would be more sweeter.

The most recent suggestion appears to be that there will be no ruling until early spring. Previously it was suggested in the press that would be no right of  appeal. Apparently that was absolute nonsense and both parties will have the right to appeal. In reality City’s lawyers once again will continue to  drag this whole sorry saga out for as long as it is absolutely possible.

So they signed Haaland on a nine and a half year contract paying him 500k per week without a release clause, insane! May not be so good for Haaland necessarily as 500k per week may seem top end this year but will it be in seven or eight years? The way it’s going it seems certain that players will be getting 1m per week in five years or so.

Mate I think they probably know they'll just get a fine now and not a huge points deduction.

That's what the rumors say, that they'll just get a fine. They're signing Marmoush (who didn't play for Eintracht today to get the deal done) for some 70m pounds and probably 2 other players in this window. How can anyone still believe the whole system isn't corrupted to the bone with Man City as the main benefactor is beyond me.

Also suspiciously they have not been getting the rub of the green with the referees. They tried to sue the PL then suddenly no strange decisions their way and they are having trouble making CL. Further proof that the PL is corrupt! They’ll be back next year greasing the right wheels.

As of March 26, 2025, the verdict on Manchester City’s 115 charges of alleged breaches of Premier League financial rules is anticipated to be announced in the coming weeks. The hearing concluded in December 2024, and reports have suggested that a decision could be made public by March 2025.  Additionally, football finance expert Stefan Borson indicated that a verdict might arrive within a couple of weeks during the international break.  However, as of today, no official announcement has been made.

It’s the lack of transparency that is curious.

it's all down to brown envelopes. They'll get no charges against them, they never were going to .

There's not a chance in Hell Man city will be relegated, docked points for the upcoming season or have any honours expunged from the record.....There maybe a monetary fine but I doubt it....just a big whitewash and a lot of corrupt officials getting rich on the back of it.

corruption across the board. the PL can't afford City to be dropped out of the league just like the corrupt UEFA and the magical 'fifth place' which has not been a thing until they realised city are in... you guessed it, FIFTH place after a shocker season. They'll now bend the rules and make some exception so fifth now qualifies. It absolutely stinks of Saudi cash. I hope the Toon get fifth TBH and then we'll see if it becomes active or not.
