You have to worry now about the run-in. They all look knackered. Some don't look bothered, and that's a big worry. TAA to come back from injury but his head has checked out. I hope we get Bradley back sooner. I hope for a miracle that either Jota or Nunez actually DO something on the pitch.
I hope the owners open the cheque book to replace VVD, Mo and TAA because I firmly believe all three will go.
Slot's 2nd season in charge will be a nightmare I reckon.

Yup just want us to seal the title now because it don't look like we've got much effort left. Slot should give Chiesa more time, utilise the man ffs.
I hope we don't crawl to the finish line. My concern is the lads may act like EPL is over already and give shyte performances. Remember even draws can screw us not just losses

Sadly I'm predicting the same for next season, I think will be found out big time.

Newcastle are fully enjoying this moment, rightly so. The City will be buzzing after finally getting a domestic trophy. I'm happy for them, fully deserved. It was obvious they wanted it more than us, they beat us in duels and were clearly treating it as a final.

The way we have been recently I think Villa probably would've done us over in UCL.

We've got bit of a break until Everton match, we need to regroup and seal no 20. Next seasons headaches can wait till summer, let's sort out no.20.

After Fulham we've got 1 game a week.

It's March 17th and to date Slot has won us nothing. Yes we're top of the league but only 12 points clear and lets face it, Ipswich would've beaten us yesterday with how we played.
For me it's the style of play that I find hard to watch. Too much space and time on the ball given to Newcastle players, they were always going to come for us but we actually let them. I saw nothing from the touchline to convince me Slot had any idea how to change that.
Macca (3 foot tall) marking Burns (9foot tall) for every corner? Where was Virgil ? Konate? even Nunez when he came on should've swapped with Macca for marking Burns.
We didn't learn anything as this game progressed.

In my opinion and you might or might not agree, the players are burnt out and Slot has no clue what to do about it. Hope I'm wrong but I feel he's a one trick pony and very lucky that other teams in the league are making him look better than he is. But don't get the bus painted yet. 4 loses or draws and we could bottle the league too and lets face it, he won't have the nouse to stop it either.

Well done Newcastle, I'd rather lose to the Toon than anyone else, they needed it more than we did and they wanted it more.

My gawd this is just a repeat of last season. So disappointing. Diaz and Jota have been so far off it for weeks. The problem Slot has is that the quality of the players he has to replace them all present big question marks. I now worry that our match at home against Arsenal could turn into possibly the most important six point game they have played in a very long time. It’s just fecking depressing !!

We have Chiesa, Doak (on loan), McConnell, Moreton, Nyoni. We are not short of players who can contribute.

Wow ! what a non event that was for all us Reds
Congrats to the Bar Codes they obviously wanted it far more than we did and deserved their win.
Gotta say we've all been praising Slott for picking up the reins after Jurgens departure and (apart from an absolute melt down) is leading us to a Premiership title.
However ! despite his success in the league, for the first time I'm now questioning whether that has been down to his coaching ability OR indeed the team that Jurgen left him to work with.

Not going to go off on a rant about some decisions he has or has not made since the turn of the year, suffice to say my confidence in his ability to pick up more trophies next season is severely dented.  :(

Still can't believe we played like that tbh. Just second best to everything and beaten by sheer determination everytime. It's a final at the end of the day so really disappointing to lose it like that especially after going out of the CL to another side who wanted it more as well.

The league is the most important for me anyway and never would have thought we would have done that this season. Thankfully we have a gap that should get a tired looking side over the line.

I think the fact the other teams around us have gone off piste has really helped Slot. If we were up against a fully functioning City and Arsenal teams we'd be 3rd now.

This is still Klopp’s squad. But if slot wins the league, it’ll be a massive achievement (regardless of the players he inherited).

However, the lack of signings, rotation and questionable subs/tactics has given most red fans a bit of a confidence wobble.

Unless we bottle it, the league should be done and dusted. We’ll be playing one game a week in the run-in and fatigue shouldn’t be an issue.

But next season it’s going to be a huge challenge. And if Slot misjudges one or two key signings then we’ll be replicating City’s form this year.

Yup we've done well this season but have been very lucky also. No challenge, and main rivals have been poor.

If everything resumes next season than that will be a proper test for Slot.

Winning the title this season "in easier circumstances", will put alot of pressure on Slot next season.

No one flukes the title, it's the one trophy you don't fluke, even Arsenal in 89, yes they got the type of leg up no right thinking human being would want but they wouldnt have been in a position to capitalise unless they hadn't have played well over a sustained period of time.
If we win the title this year it will be because we will have deserved to win it, that being said it's clear that this team for the second year in succession is running on fumes when there's still the best part of a third of the season to go.
This past week has demonstrated that our squad isnt deep enough to compete on all fronts, we need investment.

We are full value for our point haul this season and deserve to be where we currently are. No point in denying the obvious either in that the competition this season isn't there like previous ones. City are struggling while Arsenal can't maintain consistency.  Chelsea and Newcastle also struggling for consistency in their results. None of that is an LFC problem and all we can do is keep notching up the wins which we have done.

Squad wise we don't have the players to maintain an assault on everything and we look to be lacking when it comes to the business end of the season. Our better players look dead on their feet and stumbled into the 3 biggest games of the season in poor form. What was the point in topping the CL league only to go out in our next game. After that they lose a cup final where they where 2nd best again. The warning signs where there from last year. Slot changed our style which certainly helped with injuries but the fatigue has kicked into a few who have been overused. This needs to be addressed in the summer and Slot needs to insist on only players he will use!!
