Trent was so bad it's crazy we managed to keep a clean sheet today. Just goes to show the wall that is Virgil and Ibou. Another tireless performance from Szobo and what would we do without Mo's goals and assists? Probably struggling to even qualify for Europe?

I'd worry if we play Trent in UCL against Mbappe and the likes.

TAA set a PL record today - the most times (11) a player dribbled past a defender in one game....

Fantastic result. We had like 36% possession but it still felt like we were in control. Happy with the clean sheet and we need to keep it going. Still some twists to come so we have not won until it’s mathematically impossible to be caught, CL will affect our PL matches at some point. If Arsenal beat Forrest then it’s back to eight points and we play them at the end of the season, so still need to stay focused.

3 February
Was this the weekend the Premier League title was won?

Following Arsenal’s shock home defeat to West Ham on Saturday and Liverpool’s impressive 2-0 victory at Manchester City a day later, the gap at the top of the table is now 11 points. It’s a seismic gap, even if Liverpool have played a game more.

With seven of the Red’s remaining 11 games at home, their lead looks unassailable. The Opta supercomputer agrees, giving Arne Slot’s side a 95.8% of winning the Premier League title. That’s up from 84.7% coming into the weekend.

Arsenal’s chances have cratered. Before this matchday, the Gunners went on to win the title in 15.2% of supercomputer’s 10,000 simulations; now it is just 4.2%.

Massive result that. Massive weekend in general. Just less than 48 hours earlier we were dreading (at least I was) that we might be slowly slipping up and opening the door for Arsenal's return to the challenge, but now almost everybody is in agreement that the race for the title is more or less over. Funny old game football is.

Personally I wouldn't say the race is over, but we'd have to drop points in like half of our remaining 11 games, and that's assuming Arsenal wins like 90% of theirs. So yeah not over yet but pretty close to being.

Trent actually looks like he just wants his medal and then he's off. He played at around 60% effort today, getting destroyed by a one trick pony time and time again. Thing is if that's Vini Jr who actually has end product then we'll be in big trouble if we play Madrid.

I'm hoping Bradley will be back soon, his better than Trent in defending. Trent made Doku look world class. Had Doku been a bit more precise we could've been in trouble. There were few occasions where Trent had the ball with Doku near him, out of fear he blasted it uptop. His definitely signed for Real, I just hope we could tie up Salah and VVD.

Anyhow, crucial 3 points for us, statement win. We've shown that we mean business we want the title. City had possession but didn't do much. We contained them well apart from Trend side.

With Forrest losing this evening and prior to Fulham, they will definitely need to bounce back. Expect them to give Arsenal a tough match.

Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. In order to win the title you need to be capable of digging out different types of wins and we did exactly what we needed to do today. It's never over until its over but given Arsenal's injury problems we have got to be massive favourites now.

Magnificent performance and victory, a major, major scalp on our way to the league title. We need 3 points off Newcastle next to enter the PSG games under less pressure.

Well done Reds.

That’s it really, the bigger cushion we have in the league, the more we can rest players and focus on the CL, a luxury most teams cannot. It should give us a real advantage.

We play the barcodes tomorrow 26th, then PSG away on March 5th, Soton March 8th, PSG at Anfield on the 11th.

Strong performance against Newcastle for 3 points.  80% performance against PSG away ( a draw will do), smash and grab then substitutes against Soton, then full team to face PSG at home. I'd be very disappointed if we play the full team in all 4 games. It's a chance to use key players strategically.

That's why I want us to stretch our lead in EPL and with Arsenal losing it'll help even more. Imagine we were also in the FA Cup.
