Team news

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland faces a late fitness test on the knee problem that prevented him from playing against Real Madrid on Wednesday.

Defender John Stones faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines, and may even require surgery, after limping off at the Bernabeu, while Rodri and Manuel Akanji are long-term absentees.

Liverpool will monitor Cody Gakpo, who has missed the last two matches because of a minor issue, with head coach Arne Slot saying on Thursday the forward's availability would be a "close call".

Conor Bradley is not expected to feature after being forced off against Aston Villa in midweek, while fellow defender Joe Gomez is recovering from hamstring surgery and may only return towards the end of the season.

------------------------------

With Arsenal losing this will definitely ease pressure but we still need to capitalise. If we win and Arsenal drop more points vs Forrest we could be in a solid position.

Time we won at Etihad, don't think we've won in like 10 years apart from that UCL game.

Going to be tough but common let's get the job done, no more faffing around. Time to make a fekin statement what we are worthy for this title.

If we win today, we’ll probably win the league.

I can’t see arsenal beating Forest away, which means we will be 11 points clear.

That said, even a draw will probably be enough. City on the other hand need to win to keep top 4 hopes alive.

With Arsenal losing it should take a bit of pressure off our players for this match. City have been hit and miss this season so we don't know which Man City we'll be playing today. The ***** did actually rest a few key players in their match against Madrid during midweek, this match seems to be of bigger priority to them. So it's going to be a tough match, I'd love to win but a draw wouldn't be the worst result.

Of course beating these on their own patch will be difficult but lets face it we wont get a better opportunity, over the last decade or so we've had teams who could have only dreamt of facing an aging and out of sorts version of City like this.
The title is there, dont let yourselves down, go be the champions you are. You wiped the floor with them at Anfield go do it again. Go out there and write history this afternoon.

I have to say that defence and midfield of theirs looks very suspect.

All coming down our right hand side, Trent needs to wake up

I'll be honest - WHEN TAA leaves, I won't shed a tear. Every time I see him play lately he's targeted and he gets ripped a new one each game. Rashford, Doku, doesn't matter who it is - they all target him and 99% of the time he loses out, in a big way. Konate is always, always, always covering for him, waiting for him to get stuffed.

Salah has won more tackles than Trent so far.

He just doesn’t look like he wants to be here. And given how Mo and VVD give 110%, I’m guessing they’ve signed and Trent hasn’t.

Just saw the face of Nunez on the bench. He just knows what the future holds. He knows he's gone.
