Nine first team players left on Merseyside, probably with a very tough game against in form Bournemouth in mind no doubt.

Goalkeepers: Kelleher, Jaros, Davies

Defenders: Quansah, Nallo, Bradley, Robertson, Tsimikas, Norris, Mabaya

Midfielders: Endo, Elliott, McConnell, Morton, Nyoni, Morrison

Forwards: Gakpo, Nunez, Chiesa, Danns, Kone-Doherty

It'd be nice to top the group, only a point required for that. I'd be happy to get just that and give some of the lads a run out.

Perfect, glad Slot is giving the others a break. I hope Chiesa starts and does well.

As it stands (most likely to change after the last match) we will be either playing Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Juventus or Celtic so first or second in the group doesn’t make a difference. It will be a random draw before the playoffs to see which as 1st and 2nd plays either 15/16 or 17/18 and tough teams will be in that draw. If PSG win they could also be someone we’ll face fist match.

That said I’d rest everyone I could which is what slot did

I was afraid we might play a strong team because a win gets us a lot more money but happy we're being resonable and left our better players at home.

Glad our key players are rested.

Big chance for Chiesa, Elliott, Danns and McConnell to show what they’ve got.
