Next transfer window about to open. Looking at our squad now  , if you could add two names from past players, in their prime, to replace two from our current squad of registered players , who would you choose , in and out ?

For me it's IN Gerrard and Suarez    OUT Nunez and Elliot.
Not knocking the lads chucked out but with a prime Gerrard and Suarez in the current team as Bill Shankly once said "They'll have to bring a team from Mars to beat us"

Just a bit of fun lads, looking forward to tonight's game v the Hammers and hoping we stay focused and march on

I'd go with El Nino in his prime, not Gnasher. Torres was a superb finisher. Suarez was a bit of a headcase although incredibly talented.
I'll agree on Gerrard though

Gerrard and Rush for me, Rush had the lot, he was a one man pressing machine never giving defenders a moments peace, pressing from the front wasnt a chore to him he loved doing it, he was lightening quick, he made super intelligent runs off defenders, he was a deadly finisher in fact you were shocked if he missed a decent chace, scored in big games.....they are my 2

I’d say definitely Suarez as he was truly next level when he was with us. That one season he scored incredible goals. Goals with his right, left, volleys with both feet, outside the area, inside the area, goals from half way… he was incredible. I remember he even scored a header from outside the box, truly incredible.

Gerrard was a legend and the best player and we had and my all time favorite player but would he really fit in to such a disciplined midfield like we have, a midfield that relies on control? He was the most natural footballer we ever had as he had actually played every single position for Liverpool including goalie, you can’t  do that unless you are incredibly gifted. He was an instinctive player though and I’d question whether he’d have the discipline to sit as an anchor. Since we are talking about this team I’d say Barnes for Elliot even though Gerrard was more talented, Barnes probably helps this team more.

Gerrard and Suarez are the obvious choices.

If them two excluded I'd go for Sami Hyypia for Gomez.

Macherano or Alonso for Endo.
