West Ham v LIVERPOOL  Sun 18:15hs KO

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby Reg » Sat Dec 28, 2024 7:35 pm

West Ham are one of those sides that can cause frustration and an upset. Moyes is no longer the manager and they're currently 13th in the league on 23 points, one point ahead of United and equal points with Spurs.

According to this link, they have some major injury and suspension issues which might allow us to conserve energy if we can establish a lead: https://x.com/westham_central/status/18 ... UP6sGGNwfA

As usual it's critical to get 3 points in the bank as the following match is against United at Anfield on 5th January then Spurs on Wednesday the 8th!

Hammers are not as stubborn as they have been. On paper this should be an easy routine win, however we said the same with Liecester. We need to be better in the first half. Be composed and don't concede. We've got a busy period in Jan so let's end 2024 with another 3 points.

January

5th - United H *******
8th - Spurs EFL
11th - Accrington FA CUP
14th  Forrest A ******
18th Brentford A ******
21St- Lille UCL
25th - Ipswich H ******
29th - PSV UCL

Plenty games for squad players to feature. I'd go heavy in EPL games and play fringe or players who need game time in some of the others. Konate will also be back in Jan so plenty of games for him to get upto speed.

It is certainly a grueling January after a grueling December. We really need to rotate without losing rhythm as injuries are what will stop us now so we need to be careful. Another test for Slot to deal with.

We need to peak in March or have such a huge lead we can coast.

Let’s just keep going  !! We should have enough to beat West Ham.

City actually won a game so I don’t want us losing any ground to them.

Man what's going on with Chiesa, can't even make the bench with two youngsters getting the nod instead of him.

Gomez out (likely hamstring?), Quansah in. Hang tight, scary time ahead...

We are devastating in attack, thanks to Mo.

If we are still 0-3 up by the 60th min (or we get another goal) then I’d be tempted to bring some keys players off for a rest.

Special team !! Massive opportunity to hugely improve our goal difference.

If Mo scores again, he will have as many premiership goals this season as he had for the whole of last season !! Some player.

FT: West Ham 0-5 Liverpool

The 2H was played at training session pace tbh...we could easily have 8 or 10 again today
