I don't know why VVD is so cocky recently. He almost cost us with that stupid move, thank God for Kelleher.

FT: Liverpool 2-0 Manchester City

Comfortable win. We're now 11 ahead of City. Arsenal and Chelsea 9 points behind closest to us now both carrying some momentum

To think that we beat defending CL holder and defending PL winner, both by 2-0 in the same week...wow

That was a great win. Comfortable all the way  :buttrock

Van Dijk MOTM but could have been a few others. Szoboszlai, Mac & Gravenberch also in with a shout.

Brilliant result!!

First time this season I've genuinely been emotionally. I shed a few tears after the Salah penalty I felt it was such a defining moment in our season. I dreaded the missed chances catching up with us as the game went on. We've gone though the hardest patch of the season now so if we keep focused now this could be a unbelievable season.

We're the certain favorites now. As much as there will be pressure to our rivals to not drop a single point due to the big gap we have over them, there will also be pressure on us now that we're so far ahead. Hope we can widen or at least maintain this advantage by the end of this congested run of fixtures in the following month or two.

Great result. For me Mo was MOTM. An outstanding assist and a brilliantly taken penalty is what wins matches. VVD had a great game and should have scored at least one goal. Didn’t have a great deal to do defensively in the first half.

Mo with 2 match defining moments, is my MOTM. Virgil had Haaland in his pocket all day. You don't even realised Haaland was even on the field, I don't remember him having even a shot at goal all match

But Gravenberch and Macca putting in a big shift today

Dom and Ryan put Herculean shifts in.
There's still a hell of a long way to go, we are only about a third of the way through the season but the gap is such that our rivals are walking along a tightrope, they pretty much have to play mistake free football from now on which is not easy when you are under pressure. We are under pressure ourselves of course, blowing it from here would be disasterous, but its a different type of pressure, even if we do have a major blip we'll still be in the title race. We'll have a chance to re-group and come again, we'll have a second bite of the cherry, our rivals havent got that luxury.
