Liverpool vs Man City 16:00 01/12

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby redshade » Sat Nov 30, 2024 8:30 am

Liverpool duo Ibrahima Konate and Conor Bradley will be assessed after sustaining knocks during the Champions League win against Real Madrid.

Manager Arne Slot has said that Trent Alexander-Arnold is fit to start after he was included in the matchday squad on Wednesday.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola did not give any fitness updates during his press conference on Friday.

Oscar Bobb, Mateo Kovacic, John Stones and Jeremy Doku were all unavailable to face Feyenoord on Tuesday.

Ilkay Gundogan is set to make his 200th Premier League appearance.

-----------------------------

A chance to go 11 points clear of them. They are a wounded animal, things are really going shyte for them so let's keep it that way.

I'm sure Pep will aim to stop the rot and what better than getting a result at Anfield. However, they are playing poor, defensively they could be cut apart. We mustn't let this opportunity slip, stay composed and will seal it.

Beating Real will give the lads motivation that we could now beat anyone.

Common red men!

West Ham v Arsenal about to start, WH could do us a big favour here but i don't see it given Arsenal's last 2 performances. Arsenal are playing with the sword of Damocles dangling above their heads though, if they don't get an early goal they could get a bit jittery.

Absolutely awful defending from WH, how could they give Gabriel of all players a free header from a corner, he'd be the last player you'd leave unmarked.
Arsenal 1 up early doors.

We must despatch City and maintain our gap from Arsenal. All it takes is a few swings here and there and the gap will shrink. Maintaining a large gap just mounts more pressure on the chasers.

We mustn't just assume these will fold like a pack of cards, i remember a few years ago United being in a similar run of form, everyone thought we were going to smash them, some people were genuinely predicting double figures but it didnt happen.

I definitely think we can beat them but need to be weary all the same. I'm sure Slot has us well prepared to prevent a backlash.

No Konate so hopefully Gomez comes in ahead of Quansah.

That f*cking brat that injured Konate (fould him 3 times in less than 10 minutes that he was on) might really cost us, losing Konate in this period is a big blow. Hope Gomez still has his last year's form in him.

As for City, they've lost so many games in a row that the law of averages says they shouldn't be losing anymore. But we're in such great form and they're the weakest they've been in ages and we simply can't let this opportunity slip. This is probably the best time to play them, but I wouldn't be surprised if they somehow turn up and perform well because it's a big game against us.

Shitee115 are hurting in a way that none of the team have experienced. Guardiola is displaying signs of mental fragility which certainly won’t help his players whose heads appear to be in the wrong place. Having said all that we cannot afford to take anything for granted. We need to be at the very top of our game. Real Madrid was certainly Arne Slot’s biggest CL test so far. This lot even if they are going through a difficult period will perhaps be Slot’s biggest Premiership test to date.

Our bench doesn't really inspire confidence. Nyoni, Morton, Davies, Endo - not exactly game changers if it comes to that
