Southampton vs Liverpool 24/11 14:00 KO

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Back to footy against a struggling Southampton side, bottom of the table. Keep the momentum going and snap another 3 points. Side will most likely be same as Villa.

Thank God we've seen the back of those cr@ppy international breaks for a while, next March is the next one i think. They only last a fortnight but it feels like 6 weeks, that Villa game seems ages ago.
Anyway top v bottom looks straightforward enough on paper but so did the Forest game and that was after an international break as well. We've done so well to get ourselves into this position lets not start dropping silly points and doing our rivals jobs for them. In fact with a bit of luck they might do us a favour instead, both Arsenal and City have got tricky looking fixtures today.

City losing 3-0 with less than 25 mins to go- if they lose we MUST take advantage on Sunday- 8 points clear, and we have them at home in a couple of weeks.
Not counting chickens till 90 min /final whistle with this shower though

Man City 0-4 Spurs

5 consecutive defeats for Pep's City
Biggest loss in Pep's managerial career after signing an extension
115 charges to come...

Not celebrating just yet but it's necessary that we take every advantage of this. Chelsea comes with a lot of momentum as well and I expect Arsenal to be hanging around

A ridiculous and very unexpected result.

We simply have to take advantage - no ifs buts or maybes - Into the Saints tomorrow with venom. We need the sword of Damocles hanging over their heads every single game. We do them at home, and we will be 11 points clear, meaning they will go into every future game bricking it. Same for Arsenal.

We must keep going, don't give the others a hint of closing the gap. Keep the gap wide and sooner or later they'll just give in like in 19/20. We keep winning, it'll pile pressure on the rest.

All the comments are spot on, yes by all accounts Arsenal put on a bit of a exhibition yesterday but it's very, very difficult to do that week in week out with the pressure of knowing that you're already 9 points behind and one more loss probably means curtains.
The one thing which would ease the psychological pressure on them is if we started to wobble and look catchable, we absolutely cannot allow that to happen.
As for City i think they are probably out of it, putting their recent run of form aside for a minute i'll be absolutely astonished if out of 115 charges the Prem can't at least make one of them stick, to the outside world it would look dodgy as eff if that happened. Given Everton and Forest both got clobbered with 10 point deductions for a single breach of the rules you've got to think at the very, very least City will be hit with something similar which would end their season on the spot.
It's in our own hands, the players will not get a better opportunity to make history.

Reading this morning there's a possibility the game might not go ahead due to the weather. Looks pretty rough down that neck of the woods.
And those saying City are out of it

I'm looking forward to watching us play today especially given it's a while since we last played but if the weather is bad i'd rather they just cancel the game. Bad weather is a big leveller, it turns the game into a lottery and the last thing we need is to give our rivals hope by dropping points to the bottom team in a farce of a game ruined by the weather.

It’s going to be very windy so we need to keep the ball on the deck. It’s banana skin type weather

Looking at some warm up videos, the weather is not looking too bad. Am I missing something?

VVD cost us the lead there, once we scored we started pussying around at the back and got very casual. I will say, either outside or inside, not its outside but another inch it would be in so we will give it.

Talk about a bad goal to give away, Robbo should have just shown him down the line instead of squaring up like that and attempting a sh1t or bust tackle. What makes it worse is we didnt look like scoring until they gifted us one, now we've wasted that gift by gifting them one back. Lets hope we play better this second hallf. Arsenal fans must be loving this.
