Liverpool Football Club - Games

Back to basics for this one. Rumour has it the Chavs will be missing a few. Doesn't matter, this is a must win to keep the good run going.
Hopefully Kelleher will have put his brainfart this week behind him. VVD back to his best, his red card behind him too. Elliott back for this one? Chiesa too? At least as options off the bench.

Even though there's still a hell of a long way to go the next few weeks and games could well define our season. If we are still top after we've played City on the 1st of December we'll have a great chance of winning the title.
Amidst fixtures against the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Villa, Brighton (x2) and City etc we've also got big CL games against Pep's Leipzig, Xabi's Leverkusen and Trent's Madrid as well so it really is going to be a full on 6 weeks or so.

Yup it is early but I feel this period will define how the rest of our season pans out. Hats off to Slot and the lads if they can pull through this tough period.

The only way to win the league against City is to put some distance between us and them in points early on, as we did when we won the league. City has some key players missing and they will drop some points during this period, but we need to do our job as well and win our games. So far it was like a test period, we had some semi-difficult games but most of them were not against strong opposition. That changes starting this Sunday and the real test for Slot and our players starts. I'm not really convinced that we'll challenge for the title this season from what I've seen of us so far, but we'll have a better idea of where we are as a team during this period and of course I hope to be proven wrong.

I feel like we will play against teams that do not park the bus better than teams that do, this tough run will be against teams that play on the front foot so I think we will do ok. Time will tell…

It's games like this that really test the side as these are the teams we will be competing for prizes with. Slot has been here long enough so surely knows what to expect from them and us.

Given we are at home we have got to get 3 points.

What's with Chiesa? Only here a wet weekend and he's out injured? Plus I thought Elliott would be back for this one.
I also read that MacAllister missed training along with Tsimi. Bringing a young lad up as cover for Robbo.

Arsenal lost 2-0 nice, let's snap 3 points and build a gap.

Bonus saliba will be suspended against us.

As you say mate what an opportunity to really crank the pressure up on Arsenal who probably went into this weekend half expecting to gain ground on us not lose ground. Beating Chelsea wont be easy mind but if we can do it it would represent a real statement of intent.

Huge game following the arsenal loss.

And given our next match is arsenal away, we really need to show up today.

Are we really title contenders? Time to find out.

Would have thot City would put in 2 or 3 goals in the 2nd half...but approaching the 90th minutes now. So far, so good

I can almost guarantee that City would go all out for Zubimendi in the next window after losing Rodri

Update: never doubt City would put one in but was crossing my fingers and toes...then those MFkrs did it 5mins into injury time  :veryangry

20 seconds to go and City get a very controversial winning goal. Chris Kavanagh the City supporter at it again. It would suggest that that the VAR guidance to the referee was that the goal should not be given however Kavanagh decides to ignore VAR and give his team the goal !! Kavanagh lives 5 miles from the Etihad and his brother is a Manchester City season ticket holder !! No doubt somebody with a better memory than myself can tell me the last time a referee ignored the advice of VAR ??
