Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby bunglemark2 » Fri Sep 27, 2024 3:40 pm

Looking for another 3 points here. These games against so called smaller teams should be a 3 pointer for us but obvs Forest was a disaster.
Being back the big guns, clean sheet, happy days

The Forest result has put us under a bit of pressure, can't really afford to have another off day like that anytime soon, not if we've got any genuine pretensions of challenging for the title.
I was looking at Arsenal's start the other day, they've already played City, Spurs and Villa away, that's 3 of their toughest fixtures already out of the way and but for a last gasp City equaliser they would have won them all, it doesnt look like they are going to drop too many points so its absolutely imperative that we win games like this one tomorrow.

Slot will be looking to avoid an upset and will have us ready to go. Wolves will be physical and look to upset us but lads needs to stick with it and grind out the win.

We have a good chance now with City missing Rodri for the season and de bruyne till after the international break. Get as much distance from them as possible while we can!!

City have only drawn at Newcastle so this game has suddenly become a massive opportunity for us, a good result and we can go top. Seen us blow loads of chances like this in the pre Klopp era mind, in fact there was a time you could set your watch by us effing up, lets hope Arne is similar to Jurgen in the sense that his teams dont tend to look gift horses in the mouth.
I always like to see us top even early on like this because i'm convinced players find an extra few percent from somewhere when they are in first place and defending top spot, there just seems to be a bit more urgency if they go behind etc.
Come on you reds!!

Meh, would have been more shocked if Leicester would have held on tbh with you mate.
It was Leicester when Kompany scored that worldy a few years ago as well, always been a bogey side of ours that crowd right back to the1960's and their Gordon Banks days.
Never mind mate we have a chance to go top which is a big prize in its own right.

Yup let's get our job done now, Trent with a poor yellow card, after what's been recently happening he should've known better.

We’re well off the pace. Hope we don’t go one down before we get out of first gear..
