Thought he was OK in 1st half but much better in the 2nd. Almost MOTM tbh. His passing is much better than Endos, He's faster and carries more of a presence. Happy to see him continue in that role.

I'd like to see a lot more anger from him, bite in the tackle, a determination to make that position his own and make the gaffer pick him as a starter.

I've doubted this kid but he looks unbelievable playing in a 2 man midfield with Mac allister. He's a strong runner from that role, and it opens so much space for our attackers.

Strong runner, great ball control, passing over 90% (a first since Wijnaldm) and a great reading of the game. I cannot see anyone else doing the same thing if he gets injured or suspended. He looks a complete natural at this position.

Didn't expect him to be such an improvement over last season, especially not in the number six role, thought he might be better father up the pitch. Hope it's not just a purple patch and he keeps this up consistently.

He's becoming the most important player in the team, which seems ridiculous after everyone wrote him off last season including me. I remember van der vaart saying he is better than bellingham and he does everything better than him.. I'll admit, I laughed!! But it turns out he is and he does.

I think so far he has been the impact player of the season. He is as important to us as Rodri is to City. I hope he continues and stays injury free.

Agreed. On the same level as Virgil and Mo at the moment, in terms of both quality and importance.

Most improved players, Gravenberch and Gakpo. The 2 of them overflowing with confidence at the moment. Keep going lads.

Doesn't half make you wonder though. Slot didn't sprinkle any magic dust on the lad. He was here when Klopp was boss. Then why did Klopp not get these performances out of him? Did he not trust him?

Sometimes it takes players a while to adapt.

When Suarez arrived mid-season he didn’t do much, but flew out of the blocks the following season.

This lad has always had the talent, perhaps now we’re giving him the environment to succeed.
“You cannot transfer the heart and soul of Liverpool Football Club, although I am sure there are many clubs who would like to buy it.”

“Despite the switch being a necessity after Liverpool failed to bring in a dedicated No. 6, the 22-year-old has made the spot his own.

“The coach knows that I have a lot of football in me,” Gravenberch told Dutch media. “He gave me clarity from the start, and I feel more comfortable in his system. We play as a team, and that helps me shine as an individual.”

The difference between Klopp and Slot has been noticeable for Gravenberch. Under Klopp, he often felt out of rhythm, saying, “I sometimes had matches where I only touched the ball after five minutes. That made it hard for me to get into my game.””

Back in the day when we had a proper reserve team and there used to be a proper reserves league called the central league new signings often spent months if not years in our reserve team 'learning the Liverpool way'. After signing from Scunthorpe and Newcastle respectively the likes of Ray Clemence and Terry McDermott spent about 2-3 years in the reserves before becoming first team regulars. For some reason modern players are expected to hit the ground running straight away, if they dont they are pretty much written off

Most important player in the team despite the fact he doesn’t shine, when he plays well… the team win. Slot found the perfect role for him.
