Newly promoted Ipswich away will be interesting. We've got United soo soon also. Ending looks bit tricky with Arsenal and Chelsea.

Aside from Manure we have a relatively easy start for a new manager to get to grip with things hopefully

Vs Mannure it will be "clash of the Dutch egg heads".

We have bologna at home on Wednesday then we are away to Palace on Saturday. Then it's another international break. Just had a look at our next 5 and they will be a tough test.

Chelsea (H).
Arsenal (A).
Brighton (H).
Villa (H).
Southampton (A).

A league cup game against Brighton and CL games against leverkusen and Leipzig. Straight after that it's City then Real

That's a good test of the squad there.

Tough fixtures indeed, last few seasons Chelsea used to be more or less 3 points in the bag but suddenly they are clicking. Definitely a good test for the squad and will find out where we stand this season.

Yep, it's been tough to gauge where we are at this season, a fair few of our wins have been scrappy affairs and that Forest performance and result was a real kick in the teeth, the fact it was only the third league game Virgil has lost at Anfield in eight years at the club just underscores how bad an afternoon it was.
What i would say though is that we looked decent against the Arsenal's and United's in pre-season and in the two high profile fixtures we've played so far, United away and Milan away, we've actually turned up. The other obvious major positive is that we are top.
If we are still top, still in the League Cup and still doing well in the CL after we've played all those fixtures RTID mentioned then we really can start to get excited.
