What a wonderful time to be in 'the truest sense a reds supporter',I mean to be fortunate enough to drink this in ,to feel the noise resounding around Anfield like it was the mid 60's again. Firstly let me explain ,I've always been jealous of the fans who witnessed us rise from the ashes under Shanks and were blessed enough to watch a team develop and stride their way to a true definitive greatness. So lets jump forward to 2022 ,Beatles songs being sung again in lauding a manager who has been at the forefront of our march ,a manager who has thoughtfully constructed a team full of intelligent footballers and players that carry that shirt on their respective backs with the pride it merits. A team that can not only be spoken of in the same revered terms as those that ably shouldered all our dreams, but a side that can surpass their greatness
I'm positively elated that this man has proffered or should I say gifted us another two years and for him to feel and be responsible for taking these glorious footballers even further along this little trod path is just the stuff of those very dreams my dad pondered on coming to fruition all those years ago. I know if he was here he would feel the same sense of pride I do in following this team.
RIP Dad x
