What would be your best chosen staring eleven if all of the positions had to be of a different nationality ?

I've been mulling this over for a while now and it's still a head scratcher.

Assume your choices are playing at the top of their game.

Pick any formation you want , but keep it realistic ( i.e. systems we've regularly used)

In my selections I always struggle to nail down a right back , Phil Neal would be my first choice but then Stevie G wouldn't have a place in the team   

Do I pick Torres up front ? but that would mean there's no place for Alonso in midfield

GK.  Alisson (Brazil)
RB Babbel (Germany)
CB Hyppia (Finland)
CB Van Dijk (Holland
LB Riise (Norway)
DM Masherano (Argentina)
CM Gerrard (England)
CM Alonso (Spain)
AM Dalglish (Scotland)
ST Suarez (Uraguay)
ST Rush (Wales)

I'm still not happy about my RB pick (no disrespect to Babbel) but felt I had little other choices if I didn't swap out some of my first choice picks.

What do you guys think ?

I'm a little younger and I've never actually seen some of the older stars play so it would be silly to include them in my team, which makes things a bit easier for me.

              Suarez


RB would have obviously been Trent but you can't be without Stevie. Babbel is a good alternative but so is Finnan. I wasn't a big fan of Arbeloa. At LB Riise deserves a shout but Robbo has been better. The rest are pretty straightforward I think.

I’d question Hyypia’s speed considering how we play and I would put Fabinho ahead of Mascha, Trent definitely ahead of Finnan.

Damn ! how could I forget Finnan ! Good shout , I think I'd swap him with Babbel as it doesn't compromise the my international selection.

Why? Trent for Finnan (I thought Arbeloa was better than Finnan anyway), Fabinho in the middle and Gerrard and Alonso either side.

This would be the modern XI because we still had great players like Keegan and Hughes. Gary McAllister was fantastic, Yari Litmanen was a very skillful that never really made an impact. Rush, Fowler, Barnes just to name a few, so we have had some good players that we are not including.

Kazza mate did you even read the original post ? Only one player from any nationality allowed.
