Buses in liverpool

This is for the people of Liverpool only folks.

Forgive me for this useless topic but it has just taken me an hour and fifteen minutes to WALK hom from work because every single f****** bus on my route home was out of service, or full to the brim with people.

I was at the bus stop outside my work and after a fifteen minute wait, I started to feel like something was up, there were buses going to everywhere else but where I live and the bus stop started swelling with people.

Has anyone else had this problem tonight whilst getting home from work?

This is the first couple of lines of an e-mail I am about to submit to them.

Can someone get back to me and tell me why it has just taken me one hour fifteen minutes to get home from work today, when it should have only taken me fifteen minutes.

Oh wait, hang on, no one can tell me can they because they are all standing at bus stops freezing their ****** off in the rain waiting for a bus from that joke of a company called Arriva who are supposed to supply buses.

Why is it that every single bus that went past, either drove past me when I stopped at the bus stops on my route home or were dark on board because the buses were Out Of Service?

Tell me why.

Who's bright idea was it to think "Hey, I know, let's stop the buses at rush hour.  That'll be a laugh.  Especially because it's raining."

I rely greatly on buses to get to my workplace.  I paid £43.00 today for a monthly Trio for the privilege of using this useless service you provide.

Not only am I late every morning for work because of the poor standard of the bus rota, but today, this inadequacy of service which I had not previously considered possible, beats even the useless train system in this city.  Thank God I've got a boss who understands also the joke that buses are.

I have felt like complaining to you for a while now, but this was the last straw for me.  The only reason I don't boycott your service is because I could not get to work otherwise.  Unfortunately I have to rely on you.

When I called your telephone number to complain, the line was busy, no doubt someone else trying to complain got there before me.  You should be pleased that I am e-mailing you, because the mood I am in I would have ripped you to shreds if you would have answered the telephone.

You're probably not even readnig thyis now, because I realise you are busy ignoring other complaints.

Jonny probably has a car, but in our town centre its a oneway system, a nightmare to park, and if you are working in town all day there is noway you could pay for the parking as it would cost most part of your wages.

Get onto this.

Last week, I left my flat nice and early for once thinking, "Yeah, i'll get to work on time for once and that will be a perfect start to the day."

I'm walking to the bus stop and just a few paces before I get there, the bus pulls into the stop.  Perfect timing.  I thought I would get on the bus and "I'm Into Something Good" by Herman's Hermits was going to be on the radio, you know the one "Woke up this morning feeling fine, there's something special on my mind........".

It was a f**king school bus.

Maybe the fact that there was loads of school kids on the bus should have made me get off instantly.  There was about three other adults on the bus though, so I thought it couldn't be a school bus.  I decided not to run the risk of getting off at the first stop for fear of ridicule by everyone when they would surely realise I had got on a school bus by accident.  Then it turned off my usual straight line bus route into a side street where for the next twenty minutes, it preceded to go past two schools, and the adults (who I'd twigged by now were teachers or cleaners or something....) also got off .

So there I was on the bus with the scally kids who were bunking off, and then after all of this, the bus started finally going towards the city centre where I work.

Then the bus did a complete U-turn and started going back towards my flat, from where I'd just started!!!!  You couldn't make this up.  So by now, I realised it was do or die and I was getting off.  I got off miles away from my work by Hope University.

I then had to walk past Liverpool University and there are two bus stops outside it.  So I waited a couple of minutes for a bus to go past (cause there are loads on London Road that time of the morning).  I put my hand out, and the bus went right f**king past me without stopping.

Angrily, I walked further down London Road and then got on one, arriving for work a full 25 minutes late.

You couldn't make it up!!!!!!  I f**king hate buses.

Next Week: Speed 3, jonnymac demands the bus doesn't go below 50 mph otherwise he will be late for work and kick the driver out of his seat to drive the f***er himself.

Honestly, what you have just read above really happened.
