The Kop Pledge

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Leonmc0708 » Tue Nov 16, 2004 12:44 pm

This was started in the General Discussion area and then hijacked by two total idiots, so I thought I would start it up again where we are guaranteed the sort of quality responses we got in some quarters last night.

Always support the team, no matter how bad they are playing. If the team is doing badly, cheer even louder as they need your support even more.

If a player is struggling, sing his name louder and more often as he needs it.

If the opposition are the better side and perform well, appreciate it and give them the credit they are due.

THIS IS ANFIELD
THIS IS THE KOP PLEDGE
JUSTICE FOR THE 96

...and if Doof plays against us and goes to take a throw in, everyone who can reach, rustle up a big gob full and fleg it in his direction!

:D

Will never happen, ppl feel embarrased singing at Anfield these days, i've seen the looks some ppl give others wen they r singing, i sometimes feel uncomfortable having a go
He comes from Spain and he doesn't speak good English,
But we don't care cos he'll turn us into winners,
The European Cup will be ours before he's finished,

Keep the boos, hisses, moans, criticism, sniping, blackguarding and moaning out of Anfield: there's plenty of time for that in the pub, at home or on here. When the team runs out, they deserve 100% support, thats what its all about.

Kewell comes to mind and yet it seems like he has lost the crowd. :(

It is obvious his confidence is shot to pieces and muppets slagging him off everytime he loses the ball will just make it worse.

Shame really as players with that much talent are few and far between.
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore, but I think I could play.
Shankly to Fagan:Tell him,Joe.He has got no chance of playing.
Smith to Fagan:Tell him to sod off.It is not his leg,it's mine.
Shankly to Smith:Oh no son.You are wrong, son. It is not your leg.
It is Liverpool Football Club's leg.

Kewell needs the fans behind him. I reckon he has got used to being a big fish in a small pond (Leeds) and is finding it hard settling in amongst some of the immense talent at Liverpool. He was the best player at Leeds - he may be finding it hard to come to terms with the fact that he is not at Liverpool.

i remember he delayed a throw-in against olympiakos and the crowd got impatient with him
Steve Gerrard Gerrard,
He'll pass the ball 40 yards,
He's quick and he's f*cking hard,

think the singing needs to be sorted out, its only the kop and even then it is small pockets of supporters near the back.  the main stand is dead by me, we have people who literally just clap and sit down after a goal, and dont stand up to applaud a player who leaves the field (kewell against newscastle).  the majority of these fans tend to foreign.

i dont mind them at the match but when they dont get behind the team it annoys me

The Main Stand has never been a hot-bed of vocal support

you are funny, but to compare to the dapioneer is just wrong

what wound me up at the manchester united match was that the lad sitting by me was telling me that he has only been to 2 matches this season(league cup & champions league) and he managed to get tickets for the man utd game through the liverpool supporters club in doncaster. its just wrong.  i bet this little tart gets cup final tickets as well, the jammy ba3tard
