Liverpool Football Club - Games

You have to blame the manager today for playing two defensive midfielders and a useless Henderson too, we were doomed from the first whistle. Plus lunacy substitutions.

How can bringing Lallana on win you a game? He's hardly played all season.

Salah has been bang average this season, a shadow of last season. His touch is all wrong.

I think it's the Midfield that is where we will fall short. City's with De Bruyne, fernandhino and Silva has more quality than ours, and that's where I feel it will be won and lost.

Another wet fart in a big game players out of form and poor substitutions from Klopp. He's besotted with an ageing Milner and snowflake Lallana who's never done a single thing for the club. Keita and Shaqiri sit on the sidelines.

It's a crisis of sorts given we have ***** away a 9 point lead but a familiar story for the club. Good enough to go close but not over the line.

And yet a bang average Salah is one goal behind Aguero and he is the Premiership’s top scorer !! Just when I think we have enough whingebags on this forum you come along  :help

Every player has a dip during the season and Salah is having his now. However if you want to win leagues, other players have to step up. Mane has done just that, but in terms of goals and assists, we need the midfield to start helping out. if we don't win the title, no one in their right mind can say we lost it because Salah has a dip in form. Teams who win leagues manage dips like that with others pitching in over the course of a season.

Should have scored at least one today, but as you say everyone has a dip. And he's having one right now.

Had to laugh at how smalltime Everton have become, with their ballboys times wasting and their fans cheering a 0-0 like a victory.

If we blow it then it boils down to one thing, investment and ambition. The club still balances books and has impressive accounts but to overhaul a club like City you need to go beyond that and take a risk in the market.

I feel less confident in this team now than Rodgers outfit who fluffed their lines at the death.

This feels a lot like 08/09 when we were top and fluffed it with draws i think during Jan/Feb and we just played catch up hoping United will drop points. That season we also just lost 2 game but the 11 draws killed us. We went on a good run from March onwards but it wasn't enough as our previous draws cost us big time.

Too many draws are a real killer. In the grand scheme of things, an extra loss here and there in exchange for a lot of draws is probably better. Look at spurs, they have 8 losses, the most out of the top 6 teams and only 2 less than Watford and Wolves and yet they are sitting 3rd because they've only drawed one all season which was this weekend. Just shows how much the draws can hurt if they start racking up.

True enough about the draws- City have lost 4 and we have lost 1 all season and look who's top...

The title was not lost today, nor last week against United...we lost our impetus when we didn’t take advantage of City’s loss to Newcastle by playing a dud game and drawing against Leicester.

People should not keep defending Salah...last season was an anomaly and he is showing his form now which is pretty good but not great, nor should we expect him to be. We badly need a 20+ goals no.9 to supplement Salah, Mane and Bobby rather than just these 3. I mentioned that if we could get £150M for Salah we should let him go but some don’t agree and I can understand why, but let’s be honest he will not be having another 30+ goals season, let alone 40+ goals anytime soon, unless we start taking the load off him and not letting him be the focal point of every defenders in Europe. Only then will he and Mane on the wings are going to terrify any defense in the world

I think the reason Salah is finding this season much tougher is that teams will put 2 players on him every game...that knocked his confidence and it shows when he over cooked chances that he put away eyes closed last season. Everyone knows that...but why I should ask is that we haven’t any players to relieve the pressure off him, plus a midfield that’s full of running but not very attack minded, if at all. How many goals have any of our midfielders contributed this season will tell you the story. These are now glaring weakness when we want to challenge at the very highest level

I think draws are only a tiny bit better than a defeat, it certainly feels like a loss the last few draws we have had. It's just as bad.

Especially against teams we should comfortably be beating.

When we analyzed the ManU game we all pretty much concluded that the lack of ambition was our main fault...Do you think we learned from it? i think not.
I said before and i'll say it again ,we don't have the quality to play a controlled slow temp game waiting for our 1-2 chances to kill a game ,we just don't.
And because we don't i really wanted us to play exactly like last year ,to press till we drop ,that's or was our only chance to win with style..Yes i know the system worked for most of the journey but it stopped a couple of month ago..But klopp doesn't recognize it and he keeps banging the same tactics and same agenda...It's useless..

We are playing shiite football ,we are strong enough defensively to not concede but our attacking game is a farce ,it's fragmented ,no cohesion ,no real sense behind it ,so why the fck aren't we trying to stir things up? Klopp is unable to overcome his weakness ,he is way too rigid and conservative and that's a huge problem...We need flexibility of mind and tactics and i just don't see Klopp delivering.
