Maybe I'm having one to many pints with our "resident looney"

BUT

1, It wasn't a "great game"

Palace built a brick wall that despite all our possession we struggled to get through, as the game wore on we got lucky.

2. The goals we conceded !

Don't know where the defence was in this game.

Given the defensive  performance I'm just thankful we weren't playing City, Spurs or the Scum,

3. Agree that we did show "Character" i.e more self belief and determination.

BUT

If we're as good as we think we are we shouldn't be struggling AT HOME against the likes of Crystal Palace

Delighted with the win,  just not impressed with the performance.

For some reason we have struggled at home against Palace and Saturday was another example - mad game but this time we got the three points

Because palace typically step up a few gears when they play us.

I think one of the positives we can take from the game is that other park the bus teams will be mindful that even when trying to shut us out, we will still eventually find a way through.
