certainly been a number of occasions when he has saved us points. His heroics were certainly the reason we got into the Capital One cup final.

Then he made a silly error in the final letting in a goal.

This is the problem

I know footy is a sport and not a science but right across the board those stats are pretty damning, Simon really needs to up his game.

As you say Yakka, pretty damning stuff.

We have dropped NINETEEN points this season from winning positions… by far the most in the Premier League.

WOW ! When you look at the shot stopping comparisons with other keepers it surely dents any positives I may have been thinking Mignolet has in his game.

His performances have been far too erratic , swinging from hero to villain game by game.

Was happy to keep him on provided we signed some real competition (still don't think we have that yet), but now I'd be happy to see a new number one signed and Mignolet shipped out or at the very least demoted to the bench.

I won't castigate the lad because that simply is not my style but I have to admit that those stats paint a very different picture of the lad. Bit shocked as I honestly thought his strength was stopping shots !!

I'm confident Klopp will bring in a decent goal-keeper over the summer to replace Mignolet at number 1.

I always thought he was more suited for a back-up role then being our main keep, the sooner he is replaced the better.

Begovic is just another bog standard mid table keeper like Mignolet. Can't see Ter Stegen giving up on his Barcelona dream so soon. I'm sure Klopp will have his eye on a few German keepers (one position where they have loads of quality youngsters playing regularly in the top flight). If I had put my money somewhere it would be Timo Horn or Loris Karius.

Yep to be fair that's one hell of a prediction, I doubt many reds fans had even heard of Karius back in February never mind predict he would sign for us.

There has been nothing posted on Migns thread since May 2016 !!!

Well I for one have been impressed with your recent efforts, especially against United.

Keep up the good work.

Fair play to Mignolet, he has been pretty good this season. I think everyone knows he is a quality shot stopper, its the other parts of his game that people question but to be fair on this seasons performances, you can't have a pop at him because he has been pretty sound

I have always said he is a decent keeper. Who is better than him in our league?
