Paul Stewart.

Could do with him slotting in that midfield right about now.

Looks like the master has his own fan club here!! So many players we'd bring back, but King Kenny's the only one that keeps repeating so often. Just to add an extra dimension.....was Rushie ever the same player when he came back? I personally dont think so, which raises the question "Is it worth bringin the old boys back?" Let the memories remain, leave Owen with La Liga, his choice after all, and get on with what we've got and whats available come January. This phoenix can still rise from the ashes.
Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

McMannaman?

With respect, people who nominate him obviously never saw Daglish play.

Even in his 30s he would make a huge difference to us now, with skill, vision, creativity and above all else, leadership and influence.

Well as everyone nearly everyone has went for my choice I will pick Tommy Smith instead :D Just for the pleasure of seeing him mark Rooney or Van nistelrooy

Tommy Smith was a couple of years before my time (I was a nipper when he scored that great goal of his in Europe back in his heyday) but I've heard so much about him that I'd agree, if I could pick another former great, aside from Daglish, to help this current team out, it would be Tommy Smith, ahead of the likes of Hughes, Nicol, Kennedy, Heighway, Barnes, Hansen, Rush, Souness or Fowler.

Some Smith steel at the back and Kenny (Kevin  :D ) guile up front in this current team, we wouldn't be that far off the pace.

he was a bit before my time too but judging from the older heads and from what i did see he was a brilliant player, maybe the most under-rated to pull on the red shirt. Too much emphasis was made of his rough style, altho rough it was  wish we had him now.
