Liverpool Football Club - Games

A lot of the papers, including the Echo, reckon Origi will be starting tonight with Sturridge on the bench, can see more sulking type body language OR he might kick into gear and come on and score a hatrick  :oh:

I don't think we can expect miracles from the lad given its his first game back but at least he will run about and harry the Dortmund back 4 which is something Danny isn't doing atm. If we give this lot time on the ball they will rip us to shreds so we'll need all shoulders to the mill wheel tonight.

If Firmino isn't fit enough to start then I'd go with Origi up top myself, Danny isn't working hard enough off the ball atm and if we have any passengers at the Westfalen the tie will be over tonight. Make no mistake Dortmund will be right up for this game, our players are going to have to run their blood to water just to stay in it.

If we don't defend from the front today we'll get battered so I can understand if Origi comes in for Danny. Hopefully Firmino is fit enough to join him in the starting 11 as he's the presser of the ball in our front line.

Man for man Dortmund are better than us (probably not as much as some are suggesting) but as a unit they are miles ahead.

Any attempts to contain will fail. If we go toe to toe with them and everyone runs their heart out I'll think it will not only be a very close contest but a very entertaining one.

Absolutely buzzing. Think we'll have 2 great matches.

Playing Origi instead of Sturridge is a good idea. Maybe Sturridge won't take is so well but Origi will be more useful for this one, less of a goal threat but far more active, and we'll need a lot of active players today.

Can't wait for it, it's going to be a great match.

Sturridge has had a bit of a gob on him lately, the decision to put him on the bench may work for or against us. I'm hoping it will fire him up and he comes on midway through the second half to score the winner   :buttrock

If Origi is starting then we must be looking to counter attack. His pace will be useful but he will need support from the midfield.

Think this will be the toughest side we have faced all season  :nod A win would be perfect but a score draw will have us in a great position for the return leg.

Come on the pool  :buttrock
