Guy roux - Wise words

Guy Roux has issued Liverpool with a warning concerning Cisse . Roux reckons his former striker has the potential to be the very best and the ability to set the premiership alight ,however like Owen and Baros he needs quality service from midfield and in his opinion Steven Gerrard is the only one to provide that at this present time ,that’s why he sees it as essential Liverpool buy another world class  playmaker .

Guy Roux also stated that Cisse is already a much more talented player than Didier Drogba because Cisse is quicker and his shooting more accurate .

That coming from this astute  wise old  sage of football is recommendation enough .
I am genuinely exited and cant wait for the season to start

I've watched him play.  Don't use the French League's supposed lack of quality to dissuade you from being excited about Cisse as many of you are (after all a french team in the final of both UEFA Cup and Champions League and no Premiere League team in either!).  Give him half decent service and he'll score goals faster than Van Nistelrooy dives in the penalty box!

I hope the expectations on Cisse doesn't turn out to be just hype but it is not wrong to say that Liverpool has been lacking in quality services to the main striker during the past 2 seasons.

Let's hope Benitez can get the funds he needed to buy quality midfielders who can give the right supply to Cisse.

Again, interesting to re-read this post in light of whats happened.

The other top quality play maker Rouz spoke about is Alonso, but unfortunately Gerrard broke his foot, missing around half the season so far.

We have made the chances Roux spoke about, but Cisse was hit and miss.

He was showing extremely slow signs of improvement and things would surely have improved before the poor guy hideously smashed his leg.  :(
