You make me laugh too. Perhaps we should become a comedy duo? :eyebrow
MANURE are the bench mark unless you are not up to current times and affairs.
They are also playing tonight in the CL unlike LFC who are in the elite Thursday night Euro league.
The very fact that some LFC fans have lost sight of its bench marks is the very fact why so many except a novice, inexperienced half decent coach as the manager of LFC.

Never mind the league, he's in his 4th season and hasn't won anything, Roy is the only manager since Shanks not to win anything and he wasn't here for a whole season

Well I never used the words GIVEN or RIGHT in any of my replies. You have implied this.
WE ARE LIVERPOOL is a fact not a euphoric reference.
+ NO LFC manager has ever won the Premier League. LFC won the 1st Division Championship 18 times, if we are going to type the facts. It's also been longer than 20 years since LFC have won their domestic league. Again fact.
I'll "Get over it." IF you can present me with the facts to do so.
Your case is:
"31 games to go and 2 points off a CL spot, 5 points off top spot."
This statistic alone will not allow me to "Get over it."
WE ARE LIVERPOOL. FACT.

Hate to burst your bubble mate, but LFC today without the history from the 70's and 80's... we're nothing. Our record in the last 9 years is ***** no better than Spurs. Reality I'm afraid mate, the rest is in your head.

And whilst we employ the likes of Rodgers, we will remain where we are. The quality of Rodgers isn't compatible with the quality of LFC. You employ Rodgers, you get a Rodgers team. That's what we have. And if he stays in the chair, come the end of the season we'll be somewhere between 9th and 5th. You get what you pay for. We paid for expensive *****.

Neither of you think that our tradition deserves a better manager than Rodgers? We don't know where Kenny would have taken us given a bit more time. He would likely have had more luck concerning Suarez than Rodgers had too. Had we taken Klopp during close season and given him money to spend then we'd have been fresh, rather than the stale affair we're seeing. A good start could have seen momentum take us anywhere. The way you guys are talking we should be comfortable with the new status quo and put faith in second grade managers who have already failed, even when better managers are standing with their hands in their pockets with nothing to do.

I don't know about that mate the trophies we won under Houllier and Benitez  could be construed as 'history' so lets for arguments sake include that era alongside the 70's and 80's ,or am I just being churlish ?  I think you're being selective saying 9 years ,and the comparison to Spudz really holds no water if you say 10. I'm afraid Liverpool as a football club exists primarily  to win trophies, and even though this state of mind has been somewhat dulled given the managers that have followed Benitez and even Kenny's last stint  ,the last two before the arrival of the anal twins still gifted us trophies and the opportunity to visit places like Wembley.

I honestly believe that our levels of expectancy as supporters have become a moot point ,in so much that we don't possess a manager that mirrors these beliefs ,or indeed offers the merest reflection !

We don't need realists as managers ,we definitely don't need a manager stating we're on par ,and we certainly don't need fans inside Anfield prepared to accept the 'ordinary'

I mean this thread isn't even a relevant question anymore as the current incumbent has proved the answer to be unequivocal.

1. Klopp has had a good job in a poor standard League
2. Kenny would have done no better as he did as he is now too much of a fan
3, "comfortable with the new status quo " no but Rodgers hasn't had a fit team so far, always a main player out.
4."better managers are standing with their hands in their pockets with nothing to do" hope you don't count Klopp in that.

1. Klopp has had a good job in a poor standard League To be the best at any 'Professional' standard becomes a standard to itself and it's proven
2. Kenny would have done no better as he did as he is now too much of a fan - How many times did LFC hit the post / bar again under KK? He was unlucky.
3, "comfortable with the new status quo " no but Rodgers hasn't had a fit team so far, always a main player out. Was Balotelli, Marković always injured?
4."better managers are standing with their hands in their pockets with nothing to do" hope you don't count Klopp in that. IMO only, YES KLOPP!
