All that is important this year is progression to the knock out stages of the Champions league, qualification to Champions league next year and good cup runs. The revenue that comes from these things will help the team build for the future.

I think 4th is just as likely as 5th which is just as likely as 3rd

Chelsea seem to have a real belief this year so they are my tip for the title
the ****** will be 2nd then after that i think we have every chance of coming 3rd but injuries are a big problem for us at the moment and players such as spaniards still havnt settled fully so the further the season goes on the stronger i see us getting.
As long as we qualify for the CL and get through to the 2nd phase of this years comp and the team gels and settles into Rafas plans then the season willl be a success!

i reckon
chelsea
******
us
manure

i dont think tis all doom and gloom. just rememebr that on saturday we were missing out strike force and stevie g... we also had a very tough game in spain justa  few days before.
Manure have scored 11 goals in last 12 games so why does everyone still mention them all the time?
Chelsea do look class and thinkw ill nick it, they are coring now and drogba still has to come back for them.
the ****** thing is weird, its like they have lost a winning mentality but at the same time other teams dont give them too much respect... and us?
i think we aer looking ok... well.. very shaky at the front at the mo but that cant be helped. Stevie G shoudl stay as well, once him and xabi get on we'll be a strong force

so not over yet by a long shot, chin up people

This season is a bout rebuildng the team and changing the way we play.  I think we are actually playing above the level even Raffa would expect.  The style, speed and accuracy of our playing had improved 10 fold since the days of Mr Houllier.  We lack serious centre forwards, eve more so with what happened to Cisse, but come January hopefully we will sign a couple more players giving us more strength in depth.

Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Whoever said that Man Utd will win the Champions League must had been drunk or high at the time. It will be some one out of the following: Barca,Inter Milan,AC Milan,Juve,Chelsea [maybe].

Personaly I can not see Man Utd finishing 3rd again, they are way poorer this season to finish above us. I think we will fight with them to finish in 3rd place while Boro and Newcastle fight for 4th place. There is still a long way to go mates. Remember that we did not come into 4th place last year until March I believe.

A.B. it was me who put the man U thing up. I know its a bit out there but I had a nightmare about it the other night. Really vivid it was, Fergusons interview nausiating even by his standards, "it's all very well Arsenal winning the league but we decided before the season started to make the CL our priority." To be absolutely fair, if you had agreed with me on this I would've eaten my hat, your hat and everybody elses hats on the board. I know you hate 'em but don't be kidded by their indifferent form, they will come good and win lots of games. Get used to the idea now and then it won't be as sickening when it happens. I wasn't drunk when I posted but believe me, if my disgusting prediction comes true and they do win the CL, I'd drown in a combo of sorrow and whisky.

Yes they can win if they get Rooney to dive in every game.

No doubt about it, both us and Man UTD will pass the others out.
