Morientes, Beattie & Ibrahimovic are great players but Johnson or Anelka would be bad buys ???

why do u think johnson would be a bad signing, we get a chance to look at next weekend but what have we got to lose his only 23. i know people will look at his penalty miss against us in the carling cup but that was longtime ago look at what he done in the old first divsion and what his doin in the premier league. only henry scored more than him in the league this season wat if say like juventus did aresnal said no to henry where would he be toady.

Because he's played 12 games in the prem and isn't proven at the highest level, thats why, if we were asking this and he's been in the prem for 3 seasons and been scoring like he has then I'd say sign him but he's a risk.

Yeah, but Cisse was proven at the highest level and - if we're honest - hasn't exactly set the Prem on fire. Same with Crespo and Mutu.

To be honest, I'd argue that someone like Johnson or Fowler would be less of a risk that someone coming in from overseas like Ibrahimovic. A lot of players simply haven't cut it when they've come in from other leagues, and there's a lot to be said for taking on a player that's already got experience over here.

Ibrahimovic would cost a lot, and why would Juve sell him considereing they just bought him and he is doing really well there.

Ibrahimovic is a very skillful player but I thought he did not score most of the goals at Ajax, he is more of the creator type. He scored with a cheeky jumping backheel against Italy at Euro 2004 for Sweden.

He has been scoring for Juventus and would hardly be considered as having adjustment problems. perhaps it was just a ploy by his agent to force Juve to start with him more regularly.

While I really doubt that we will sign him (i also doubted and still doubt we would/will get Morientes) he would be an excellent signing.  He is a 'fox-in-the-box' type player a lot of people are saying we need, he also has a good touch and a powerful shot, hes a strong lad who's willing to have a bit of a scrap he's only 22 or 23 and his scoring record for Ajax is akin to RVN's for PSV before he moved to Man U

Yeah but they were proven in other leagues and it takes time to settle in a different country and league, Johnson has been in the prem 5 minutes, you have to admit it would be a risk buying him  :;):

This story is ******. I bet you any amount of money it doesn't happen.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has established himself as a regular in the Juventus first team and is doing quiet well, and he would cost a bomb, a bomb we don't have.
