He was not awful, but he did give the ball away too much again. Josemi and Traore did well. Traore saved Hyypia on one occasion.

Hyypia performed very well unlike the past few matches in where he has gaven the ball away which ended up costing us the points [i.e. his sloppy pass against Blackburn that led to a 2-1 lead for the Rovers].

Maybe it's because Depo prefer to pump the ball up to Pandiani instead of running rings around him and exposed his lack of pace? Like I said earlier...a very solid performance by the big man today but was caught off guard by Tristan a couple of occasion in dangerous position and needed Troare and Carragher to cover.

He'll be fine, just give him time. He may be old but he is a smart player and has always stepped up to plate and even shouldered the blame when it has not necessarily been his fault. He is the kind of mentality we need on this team that we are all in it together and if one link fails then we're in shambles.
